-I know how you feel, and guess we all feel the same way as we grow up. However we must realise that we´ve probably already lived the lives of ancients many times over. As great as past civilizations were, they had their time, and now we have ours.
-Life is good and bad, has been, and always will be. Our duty is to create our own little piece of heaven on this planet earth, as best as we can. If your country is too limiting, then maybe you need to travel to see how the other half live. All countries operate as society and they all have their problems as well as good points. As a westerner you have distinct advantages in some poorer countries in the world, where a lot of westerners now choose to live and flourish.
-Decide the life you wish to live and make it come true someplace in the world. That is your calling. Beware of telling your friends cos they may not have your desires or needs, and may even feel jealous and threatned by your thinking and try an poo poo your decisions, etc. When you are older you can rejoice in the fact that you acted positively on your realisations rather than put up with living a life of mediocrity.
