Hi there! this is actually my second time registering with the forum. the first was a couple of years ago. I think you guys are doing a great thing here. My only reluctance towards contributing more to the forum before was mainly paranoia based, but I now have a secure internet connection, and am feeling the whole strength in numbers thing these days. I have extracted alkaloids quite a few times by now. I use the popular supplier of powdered bark from Brazil. I wont name names since im not sure if you guys are a fan of that here. I have always had reliable yields with his product and feel more comfortable importing it than I do giving my information to a dommestic supplier, who may or may not be required to share it's customer information with certain parties in order to stay in business.

I am here to discuss advanced techniques and throw some ideas around. My logic tells me that the best way to do an extraction is to go straight to base, it's quick and easy and low cost. You can get a fairly pure product with easy to find supplies. I am interested in ways to improve the straight to base process, either by "prepping" the bark before adding it to the lye solution, or by cleaning up the finished product after you have isolated the alkaloids.

I am not a chemist, nor have I gone to school for chemistry, but I do have a pretty decent understanding of it. I can get my way through a chemistry for dummies workbook without feeling stupid or having to look much up.

And just to be clear, I am also a complete fictional entity and anything I say is actually part of a long, confusing poem I'm writing about a dude writing poems.

from the first moment I took LSD, which was about 15 years ago, I knew the power it possessed and have been dabbling ever since. Not to be corny, but to me, psychedelics prove that miracles are real, time and time again. When I first really blasted off, those miracles became open doors to parallel universes consisting of pure energy. This is the experience that made us the humans we are. I've never done real mescaline as far as I know. I'd like to get around to trying a san pedro extraction some day, since im too skeptical to trust a dready with no chemistry knowledge trying to pawn analogs off on me. sorry for stereotyping by the way if you have dreads and your reading this. I have also never tried oral DMT. I'm actually more curious about making a super clean salt and sniffing it for a prolonged experience. If I do oral methods, it will be by a native shaman far from where I am now.
