Everyone who's ever broken through on a proper dose of vaporised DMT once will probably
agree that, often, most of the experiences happen to fast & are too rich in detail for
the experience to be remembered completely and coherently.

One often finds that, as with dreams, the memories of the experience begin to fade very
quickly. As if one tunes out of that certain wavelength in which these phenomena can be
experienced & remembered and once tuned back into the casual wavelength of ordinairy
consciousness one cannot reach memories of these experiences.

So what happens to these memories? Are they only accessible from certain trance-states,
like the one induced by vaporising DMT? Are they repressed by the Ego once it
restructures itself?

All this made me wonder if such Memories could possibly be accessed by some form of
self hypnosis? Hypnosis has been extensively used in resolving traumatic disorders,
to grant access to repressed memories of past traumatic events in therapy sessions.

Could Hypno-therapy perhaps be used in a similair way to grant access to memories of DMT
experiences & dreams?

I have searched here and there for information about hypnosis, but haven't found
anything usefull yet.

Does anyone here know anything about self-hypnosis/have had experience with Hypnotherapy?

hmm..no

although while on ayahuasca or changa, those lost memories can often be recalled very vividly. This has happened a few times while smoking low doses of changa over the course of a few hours with a close friend and just talking. It seemed to spark the memory banks well

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

Hey, that's a good idea SKA!

I don't have experience with hypnosis but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

It's been said in the research I've done on dreaming that, via advanced Lucid Dreaming or via Dream Yoga it is possible to access any memory that one has filed away through their lifetime.

Since we have a direct access to our subconscious during dreaming, I would think that engaging in self-hypnosis during a Lucid Dream would be highly effective. One might not even need self-hypnosis during this state, maybe just concentrating on the desired memory (or time period if the memory is not conscious) while utilizing the "spinning" technique of changing dreamscapes could work. The tricky thing is, how would one differentiate between a genuine memory and a created one?

Definitely worth exploring.

I am a Hypnotherapist that specializes in Past Life Regression and contacting one's Higher Self (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Therapy...www.dolorescannon.com). This type of hypnosis is very much like an involved daydream, and like a dream it fades in time as well.

Yes, at least with this methodology one could go back and recall a specific DMT experience if they wanted to. I personally think there is much more interesting information to be gleaned by asking your Higher Self any question you wanted about your past/present/future, but if appropriate you can find out anything you want from these sessions. I have not worked with self-hypnosis so cannot comment on that.

Spirit awareness is very akin to the DMT journey...
What, you ask, was the beginning of it all?
And it is this...

Existence that multiplied itself
For sheer delight of being
And plunged into numberless trillions of forms
So that it might
Find
Itself
Innumerably.
