In its April cover story, Wired has an exclusive report on the NSA's Utah Data Center, which is a must read for anyone who believes any privacy is still a possibility in the United States: "A project of immense secrecy, it is the final piece in a complex puzzle assembled over the past decade. Its purpose: to intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast swaths of the world’s communications as they zap down from satellites and zip through the underground and undersea cables of international, foreign, and domestic networks.... Flowing through its servers and routers and stored in near-bottomless databases will be all forms of communication, including the complete contents of private emails, cell phone calls, and Google searches, as well as all sorts of personal data trails—parking receipts, travel itineraries, bookstore purchases, and other digital “pocket litter.”...

The heavily fortified $2 billion center should be up and running in September 2013." In other words, in just over 1 year, virtually anything one communicates through any traceable medium, or any record of one's existence in the electronic medium, which these days is everything, will unofficially be property of the US government to deal with as it sees fit... As former NSA operative William Binney who was a senior NSA crypto-mathematician, and is the basis for the Wired article (which we guess makes him merely the latest whistleblower to step up: is America suddenly experiencing an ethical revulsion?), and quit his job only after he realized that the NSA is now openly trampling the constitution, says as he holds his thumb and forefinger close together. "We are, like, that far from a turnkey totalitarian state."

I personally refuse to live a life of fear, for me, it means you are ashamed of what you are doing or afraid to stand up for your philosophies. Still it is a product of the times. Our so called leaders see that their power hangs on a thread and that the people can rise up and pull them from their lofty thrones, quickly and easily. We are becoming a society who is ruled by tyranny and fear. So few have courage or the moral fortitude to stand up against those who would oppress. For me being a slave in fear of the master is a fate far far worse than death.

If you open your third eye, you will see that you should never be afraid to die.

They should smoke DMT at the data center.

This is the worst thing I've heard in my entire LIFE! The sheeples refuse to fight, nothing but useless brain dead zombies that can't think for themselves and THERE IS NO WHERE TO HIDE.. I'm freaked out.

And this is the stuff released to the public...

I wouldn't be surprised if some form of DPI was now mandatory for US TELCO or even full storage of every bit traversing the 'Net.

I dont allow it to affect me. I will never surrender my cognitive freedom/liberty of my freedom to live and express myself as I see fit. I dont really care what the capabilities of any governments are. what are they going to do? Round us all up and spank our peepees for for smoking DMT? Put us all in jail? Focus on us and our way of life.

The article itself shines allot of lite on how big and massive the entire operation is. The data is so volumous. What can they possibly do to us? World wide we have so many forms of terrible activity going on. A bunch of spice smoking hippies will be the last of their worries.

Interesting how the our current government and the President of change, transparency, and civil liberty for all jumped right in to put a stop to this BS. Maybe he's gonna tackle that in his second term, right after dismantleling the BS in the Patriot act. LOL

isn't it a shame that they use americans tax dollars to spy on americans? and i do care what the capabilities of our governments are. i don't think it's that far fetched to think that if they keep on this road of desire for power and control, one day they will be straight up shooting nano bots or something into the air to control and/or monitor everyone's thoughts. and the civilians are going to be the ones developing these technologies and then be paying the government to use them against us.

But moreover, I see as ALL leading government try to constrain checking and management all that human that that else has own, the personal independence from them. This looks like arising new worldwide war between liberty of the choice of the individual perception and all-out programmed by certainty. I not first year shall assign itself question that will be with all this further? -Me why-that seems that ill of the checking will cover the Land, but elusive spirit of the liberty of the human perception will open for itself other measurements and will finally find its true Native land -ETERNAL INFINITY.
