if dmt is released by the pineal glad (or any part of ur brain) at death, witch would help explain why some of us feel like we sometimes go to a place where souls are reborn, and that we have been there so many times. then what happens when you get shot in the head? i got shot in the hand and i think that it couldn't happen fast enough to feel the experience. if dmt was essential to cross over to that space and you get shot and your brain blows out of the back of your head in a half a second dose whats left of ur brain feel it?,after my dmt experiences dieing no longer scares me it never really did ill have my time like everyone else. but now getting shot in the head scares me.
please dont take anything i say seriously im extremely irresponsible and i apologize in advance for anything iv said.

Lol
Black then white are all I see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be,
reaching out to me, lets me see.
There is so much more and it beckons me to look though to these,
infinite possibilities.
As below so above and beyond I imagine,
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

This is why the Egyptians removed the brain through the nose.

There is (can be) an art to dying, even if it comes unexpected.

Don't take this post too seriously- there is no evidence DMT is released at death, I believe this is covered extensively in the FAQ just ctrl+F the page if you can't find it.

i saw it but all i saw was a bunch of people quoting science journals were one said it is and the other said no. i personally believe its there. i just cant get behind the argument that something 98%of living things on the planet create isnt in us. that everyone has the same experiences to a degree of dieing and being reborn. we forget that humanity is a child of science, science isnt the child of humanity. we are constrictive minded beings whos brain can only comprehend certain things(why i think we cant remember symbols or half of what you see wile on dmt.your brain cant comprehend it.

I imagine it could be like an instantaneous burst into that incredibly audible experience of tones and may feel extremely disorienting for a few moments while it destroys your yearn to hold onto what has just been lost, and then perhaps that familiar feeling of surrender that you reach on the DMT experience.... I can't really say... In my DMT experiences it feels like my soul is in some kind of processing before I lose my familiarity with physical reality, ... and it certainly wouldn't surprise me if this was the nature of the experience of death and the role DMT could have to play during. perhaps we are wired to go through this similar experience when our physical life ends. Such an interesting comment. Perhaps the suddenness of being shot in the head wouldn't make a difference to where you go in the long run, but you just wouldn't have that mediator (DMT?) to guide you through it in a more transitioning kind of way?

just an idea Smile

hehe.. at the end of the day this is not something the people here can really riddle you with certainty unless they have died and returned with the knowledge. but I am glad you asked the question.. I was actually thinking about this the other day

Whose to say that death is not itself a real breakthrough into hyperspace?
01:13:08 ‹Ellis DEmpty› I met the people living in my head... I disturbed them while they were sitting down at the table.... They were as shocked as I was!

We were born too soon to explore the cosmos, and to late to explore the earth. Our frontier is the human mind; religion is the ocean we must cross.

It is a thought I've pondered ever since an amazing night inside my head.... I cannot go into detail as I just wouldn't know how to put it in words so people could understand.

DISCLAIMER: THIS DOES NOT MEAN I AM SUGGESTING PEOPLE DIE!!!!

I think you misunderstood the discussion. The discussion wasnt whether humans have DMT in their bodies, but whether it is specifically created by the pineal gland. Even if we find out it IS produced in the pineal gland as well (because it seems to be in other parts such as lungs for example), it still doesnt say anything about what happens when we die.

And then there is the fact that nobody knows what will happen when we die. We can talk until our keyboards fall appart but none of us will ever know whats on the Other Side before we're there.

I guess its fine to have funny thoughts and speculations, so by all means discuss the subject at hand, but at the end of the day life goes and what we can care about is our lives today.... So I'll care about my day now and make a fruit smoothie, want some? Smile

hahaha.. glad you cleared that one up. Wink
I had an experience the other week with some acacia obtusifolia extract where I felt like i KNEW what felt like to die. And like you just said I have no way of putting it into words. Hehe for how much DMT teaches you, it doesn't exactly lend a hand with the language to describe it afterwards Razz
I guess its all personal development anyway though and needn't neccesarily be vocalised to other people. The experience is a gift for you

You are not your brain. We in the west seem to worship the brain, but I hardly think the transition to death would be stopped or screwed up somehow if you got shot in the head. That would seem like a pretty sloppy system considering all the awesome ways we have of killing each other.

You may get a better understanding of what may happen when you die if you talk to some serious astral projectors. My younger brother can make it to some very strange places in the astral planes, the kind of places where you can walk around on other planets or dimentions and interact with the dead and other worldly entities. Too bad I can't get him to join the NEXUS
