So i can delve a little deeper and a little easier it's become necessary for me to invest in a decent vehicle to the other side,
but there are a couple of conditions coming with the new pipe

-No Glass (just so it doesn't resemble a meth pipe)
-must be portable (for when the mood strikes)
-must not be battery operated/mains powered, for the above reason + i hear many battery powered vapes have poor battery life.

following this criteria i've whittled down my choices to these two possibles

Smooth Hand Carved Teak Vapor Genie
Lotus Vapourizing Pipe

I know that many Nexus users swear by the VG, so do a couple of my friends who use spice, but i just can't seem to get the knack of hitting it, not well enough for a decent hit anyway, but i know there is a learning curve to this pipe so i'm sure that will change, im realy looking for if anyone has tried using the lotus pipe for spice and if it had similar/better/worse effect than the VG

whichever of these i go for would have to be my full time dmt pipe (i don't usually enjoy weed in a pipe/bong etc, and don't want to make a habbit out of buying them just for dmt)

Any input would be great

thanks

The VG most certainly can take a bit of a learning curve to learn how to use. Especially since you can't see the vapor (which in all fairness you can't see in that Lotus Vaporizing Pipe either), it can be pretty difficult. Once you've got the hang of it, and all the right tools (torch lighter, screens, mesh...) it gets easier, though I don't see why you wouldn't need the same things for this other vaporizer either. If you've been having trouble with the VG, I see no reason why not to try this Lotus Vaporizing Pipe other than to say that if you're ruling out the GVG just because it's glass and looks like a meth pipe, you may be doing yourself a disservice. The GVG costs just as much about as that Lotus except being able to see your hit through the glass is invaluable.

No matter what you decide to get, I'm also curious to know what kind of lighter you've been using with the VG.

I must say: This Lotus Vape is an interesting competitor for the VG.
But as far as I am concerned: I still recommand this GVG!

the only real reason for the no glass VG is the look (my gf deeply disapproves ,also slightly because i think if i spend 100 on a piece of glass the inevitable will happen and it will break, especially if this is a mobile pipe (i wanna hit up the solstice + glastonbury next year)

with my friends VG (classic) i've just been using a standard click start lighter (i wasn't sure wether it was only for a glass pipe/vape that you could use a jet flame lighter)

I use a torch lighter on my VG. On the other hand, the paint is bubbling up from intense heat around the mouth of the filter. I can understand not wanting the glass because it will break, but honestly this whole meth pipe thing is a bit unwarranted. The Lotus Vaporizer is as much a meth pipe as the VG is as the GVG is...except you're not using any of them for meth!

Don't get me wrong i've read up on how fool proof the GVG is but my mind keeps wandering to worst case scenario and it breaking,
if it weren't for the need of portability i would go for it (looks and all, as it isn't really me who has a problem with the way it looks)
all things considered i think i might just go for the hand carved VG, as i can't seem to find info anywhere on the lotus being used for spice, but will keep looking
+ the hand carved VG wont show accidental burning as much as the classic VG (although it might char a bit)

Then make a machine out of one of these!
Really a great tool and cheap to make!

I wish someone experienced with the GVG or VG would make one of these and tell me if they get as good results as I do. Then report back as a comparison.

Well, as long as Electric Kool-Aid revived this two and a half month old thread, if the OP sees this, I would be curious what decision you ended up making, and what some of the results have been.
