I have some very simple advice with regards to
makig up your mind about the merits or lack thereof of
being a vegetarian. In fact I believe this is in the ONLY
way to really know. Because let's face it you can find
dietitians online that will praise vegetarianism and you will
also find dietitians that will abhor it. Why the difference in
opinion of the so-called experts?
The truth is actually quite easy to arrive at when you test it for
yourself and quit listening to 'experts'
Step 1: Eat a normal meat based meal and write down how you feel.
Step 2: 30 Day's no meat. (yes you need 30 day's..you gotta get passed the craving for meat)
Step 3: Write down how you feel
Step 4: Eat the same meal you eat to start this experiment.
Step 5: How do you feel now?
I was a die hard meat eater. I used to make fun of the 'stupid vegetarian hippies'.
Then one year for new years I decided I would try it for 1 month.
I eat a balanced diet both now and then.
Hands down I feel way WAY WAY better with
the bulk of meat cut out of my diet.
I probably eat meat 1-2 a month at most now and then only light portions.
BTW I have seen this woman's blog before. I'm not a huge fan of it personally.
I think she does a good job at presenting the illusion of research, but in
the end I think she just searches out what she wants to find...
If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.
