heeello there nexians. i just wanted to know if anyone has had experience with this cacti and can shed some light on its alkaloid content. there is an extremely limited amount of info on the net about this species and it would be good to expand, as this cacti grows commonly around my area

wikipedia states that it has been found to contain 0.82% mescaline? can anyone back this figure up?

I'd just get to work. Yields can vary and as you said, there isn't a ton of info out there. Some will be more potent than others. If it grows around me, I'm going to eat and or extract it as soon as I'm sure it's safe. Regardless of what posted yields are. Save the tips in case you hit a good one

Ogunbodede et al 2010, J. Ethnopharmacology, 131(2), 356-362

In one place it says 0.82%, in another 0.85%. But there's a hell of a lot more of interest beside in that paper Smile.
