I sat patiently on my bed with eyes closed. Each second was followed by a slight relaxation. As if I had dropped a sugar cube into coffee my boundaries began to dissolve. I could finally drop my hands below my bed without cringing. I could cut off the lights without burying my head under the blankets. I let my mouth open without the fear of bugs crawling into my stomach. And as if I had won the lottery I looked into my dark closet without even a flinch. Everything was ok. I started to explore the areas of my room that I normally refuse to make eye contact with. I started chatting with people online that I haven't talked to in years. For some reason I'm still here and out of no where I had a smile. As if I was presented a new world I started exploring everything that had been in front of me the whole time. An hour later I found myself in the woods! It was midnight and I was in the woods! Darkness blanketed everything and yet I wasn't scared. I heard some leaves crinkle and a stick snap. I smiled and went to investigate! I've never acted this way and yet it felt so natural. In that moment I realized something beautiful. For me the unknown, the darkness, turned into fear. That fear of the unknown manifests into some sort of figment of my imagination and my eyes refuse to make contact. Refuse to see the truth! The truth is that everything is ok. The unknown just needs to be explored. The bad guys and monsters that plagued my imagination as a child are not a part of this reality and it's ok to forget these things. It's ok to unshackle my eyes and fear is no longer their master.
I hope everyone has a great day and if you have any advice for dealing with fear and anxieties please share!

Very happy

so what did you take?

facing your fears is a rewarding thing, congrats. It was a bit sketchy tripping alone in the woods at night for me at first but i quickly learned to love and it and shake off any insecurities about it (except the dam mosquitos)

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

This was fun to read and well-written. Thanks for sharing.
Every day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.

^agreed. That was wonderful.

I still have some lingering anxiety issues in dealing with people but I'm seeing from some interesting perspectives lately.
