I will start off by saying that I am at a crossroads in my life, a point where i must decide whether to continue schooling or to dive headfirst into the world. This certainly adds to this looming sense of uncertainty that I and many of my psychedelic using friends have noticed in our lives. What I was wondering is, do you feel this uncertainty? Do you think that a major change is coming?

This may or may not be related to the whole Mayan calendar 2012 thing, while personally I don't really believe that strongly in it, I also now that the Mayans were a very intelligent population, and, as my circle of friends like to put it,it seems like they "know what's up", especially when it comes to patterns, fractal natures and the like.

The way i see this is through are history. I feel we are reaching a climax. Some of these causes to this climax are global warming, the rise of secularization, the rise of upheaval in eastern countries, economic unbalance, the growth in population, US political status, wall street protests (which was the first major protest since like the 60s) and many more. I feel we are just in period of change in societies conscious, like an enlightenment, and the climax of this coming.

IT is funny you bring this up. I was recently in the past couple months coming to a realization that something big is going to happen. I feel like the whole world is vibrating and shaking to the point where it seems we are coming to some climatic thing that may break or change the world for ever.

What do you mean "was a smart population?"

By a smart population I mean that the Mayans came up with many different mathematic and scientific discoveries which are still being used today, for example the number 0, a calendar of 365 days, agricultural advancements, and much more.

I've had this feeling for the last year, and I don't believe the Spiritual Awakening I have gone through in the last few months is a coincidence, as well as my brother and father, because coincidences don't exist. While I may not agree on the exact date the Mayans have put forth with the end of the 13th baktun, I do completely agree that the Omniverse, or our Universe, works in eternal cycles. I feel that a new step in the evolution of our consciousness is coming. A few years ago UIC Chicago did a study on the evolution of the human brain and mind, and came to the conclusion that there was a special external event which took place in the evolutionary cycle, completely disregarding Darwin's theory of evolution, since in evolutionary terms, it occurred in a near instantaneous fashion. I believe we may be going through one of those changes again soon, regardless if it coincides with the December 21, 2012 prophecy.

Yes, I feel the same thing. I'm pretty certain something big is on the horizon. It could be the "technological singularity", which is predicted to occur in the next few decades. Or, Strong Artificial Intelligence emerging in the very near future? There appears to be so much going on in the world at the moment.

Also, there are many relatively new ideas emerging in science and philosophy. Robert Lanza's Biocentrism; Ervin Laszlo's Akashic Field; Nick Bostrom's Simulation Argument. People are changing the way they look at human consciousness and reality.

We're definitely in for a paradigm shift.

As well as Alex Putney's Infrasound Resonance theory. The incredible realization about all of those things, is that in this infinite Omniverse, they are ALL very plausible.

Don't quit school most of the governments prefer to rule semiliterate and unlettered people because these kind of people can be ruled easier.
Sorry IMO the mayas had not a better society in any way than our own.
The problem of today is the consumerism which is still active and the population which is almost 10 billion people... can any one realise this number cause I still can't. The trouble is we all want something. First we want to eat, next we want naphtha to make our spice etc but actually anything we do is x10 billion. Well we say all here that we love our mother planet but unfortunately what ever we do even when we are sleeping we cost a lot to earth. We leave our mobile phone "on", or charging, we all have an alrm clock eating some energy coming from the burning carbohydrates, keep our food in the fridge cool for the next day or the day after that and theres even more plus x10 billion. The powerfull people don't hate the rest of the people they don't need to and they haven't anything to pruve to the weak but they do have a sort of "responsibility" against the planet in a way that they know that if population grows even more then there is a percentage of global chaos as the goods start to end and the climate begins to change. I live in a country that already suffers from the money being cut in every economic area. I'm facing unemployment in this year and I have a wife (unemployed) and a little daughter. I've run as a protest in almost every public demonstration, got sprayed with chemicals for screaming out for a better future, not for me or my wife but for my daughter and found out that this political system is the only system that can keep the people alive. BUT people have to change I'm not sure what comes after that but I've seen these days people helping other people, sharing whith them and exchanging goods whith other people the rest the history will show. '2012' in what i understand, is a 'breadcrumb' leading the way home...the change is much less likely to be physically gnarly, as it is to be emotionally alarming. What is happening is the integration of 'god' Consciousness into the human body. Each individual is 'God' awakening, some sooner than others, but we're all getting there. This can manifest in a multitude of psychological/emotional symptoms, the firstmost being elimination of duality within the Mind. You ask the question, continue with a broken system?, or dive into the world and make your dreams come true? Which sounds more ridiculous, really? We live in a reality of invisible borders and fears, resulting from hundred upon hundreds of years of "training", so to speak. You are God. You are waking up within the human body, within the physical dream. Essentially, You are God, approaching a black hole in time, and you are bringing your environment with You...Start thinkin of what you Love to do, and BEGIN CREATING IT!

Funny you ask this because last night I got a certain feeling that something bad was going to happen very soon. It wasn't just a feeling either, I was completely certain. It eventually passed but I have been have a sort of background "dread". This might not have anything thing to do with 2012 but I do think something is going to happen soon, whether man brings it upon himself or not.

I have certainly felt this strongly a number of times in the last 6 months or so. I am not sure what it is, but I know it is coming and that it is inevitable. We must not be afraid but welcome it together by embracing it and preparing ourselves. It is a very exciting and wondrous time to be living in. I, too, believe we will realize that "God" is awakening within us and we are becoming more in touch with ourselves and this life. I think it will be like a wave coming over us, something that is felt and experienced and known, when there will be no question or second-guessing. We need to focus on what we truly want and stop consuming the reality that we were born into and create our own path, wake up and initiate change and others will begin to follow. We've got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
