a few days ago, i prepared 3 doses of anahuasca (rue + mimosa). after having drunk the first dose, i prepared to imbibe the second. for the second dose i ended up mixing the rue and mimosa, creating a mixture too potent for my tastes; so i added a bit of my chaser (cherry dr.pepper) and took a couple sips.
after taking a couple sips i immediately had to purge, and after seeing all the popped blood vessels in my face, i decided to refrigerate the last 2 doses for a later date. so i poured the mixture of rue and mimosa and chaser back into the jar that held the rue tea/seeds
a few days laters i opened the fridge to see this:
the liquid is clearer than both the rue and the mimosa tea (the mimosa had been fined with egg white and filtered extensively; the rue just got filtered through paper towel, with the seeds re-added).
is it possible the phosphoric acid from the soda had some kind of affect on the brew?
the mimosa tea that remained separated from the rue/soda still appears identical to the day i first brewed it.
