I have been reading your forum for a few days and I just signed up, so I figured the next step is to introduce myself.

I have virtually no experience in the world of psychedelics so my time here will be spent listening and asking questions. Although I've had some minor interest in the topic for a couple years, I've started to look into it more and more the last few months. I've heard/read some Podcasts, blogs, articles, lectures, etc. that have piqued my interest. I've also grown a lot in my thinking and outlook on life in the last 2 or 3 years, so I've become much more open and curious about not only psychedelics but nearly everything else in the world that I once scoffed at. Now I'm trying to have as many unique and (hopefully) enjoyable experiences as I can while I'm here. My first dive into the psychedelic world was the float tank and it has been a wonderful tool for me. Then I recently watched a DMT documentary and decided to do some research, and that journey has brought me here. Like I said, I'm mostly going to be gathering information so I can decide if DMT is right for me, figure out if I'm ready, how to do it safely, etc.

And just as a sidenote, I'm never not amazed by what the internet has made possible. I'm just a regular guy in a regular town in the middle of nowhere and 20 years ago it probably would have been impossible for me to even know any of this existed, not to mention actually interact with people who have experiences and knowledge to share. The exchange of life experience and ideas between people who will never meet is so incredible (and widespread now) that it's often taken for granted while remaining nearly impossible to comprehend. But this new amazing paradigm is what brought me here, and I thank you all for sharing your experience, teaching, educating and contributing to the evolution of Mankind. As grandiose as that sounds, it seems appropriate.
