I searched for it and couldnt find it, so here is a suggestion.

My idea was for each of us to have sort of a homepage. There we could have links and favorites. So one could have say trip reports all organized along with picture gallery art created by that member. These things could be a post in the forum and you can click a check box and save to faves. The gallery section could be linkable by the storage location and posted with code anywhere in the forums or just left in the gallery on their homepage.

Just an idea to keep things close, rather than having to search for older trip reports or images posted a while ago. Could be kinda fun and organized. Tell me what you think! Oh and I know we can watch topics, but that just ends up emailing us when you get another post in that thread. Not at all what I am talking about. More like storage layed out for people to come to see your profile with trip reports and gallery images with links to post to the forum.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Although there is already the Quality experience section. Maybe there should be a rating method so whether or not it gets into that or a similar section is up to us, the public?

But what would be nice is a homepage type thing for each member. Then from there you could have trip reports, gallery and favorites. I know there is a quality exp section. But wouldn't yours get all mixed in a huge pot and hard to find yours? Not to mention new members, as they don't have access to that section and usually new to spice members post frequently about the honeymoon trips. Plus some tell their trip in pictures not words, so photos / gallery would organize them, rather than scattered around the nexus site (they could still be linked to posts through)
Just an idea. Kinda f@cebo0k type thing a bit with a homepage and photos section so when another member is interested in seeing someone's pictures and trips, bingo! They are right there on the members homepage. Just a cool feature that might help. Mull it over and see what you think.

Spacebook! Great idea. I've many times clicked on the profiles of fellow Nexians and wished for more info.

If this is doable within the limits of this forum software, a tidy way of handling it would simply be to put it with the user profiles... Click on someone's profile and you'll get all the familiar stuff, but scroll down and there's more. Photo galleries, favorite posts, etc.

You'll get people arguing that this would be inviting a lot more ego into the forum. I disagree- rather, it would give us a chance to know more about each other, while still maintaining whatever level of anonymity desired.
