i have a couple suggestions (all of which are likely wrong)
i used to rock the glass dick and meth back when i was making dumb substance decisions and i got chapped lips and sore throats all the time, i thought it was the meth (it mostly probably was) but it might have to do with smoking out of a bulb (a different kind of heat than optimal vaporization) and the effect the heat has on the soft tissues on your lips and mouth might be to blame
or
i have no idea your method or tek of obtaining dmt, but it could have to do with that. lye and NaCO3 are both absorbents which just wanna suck moisture out of everything including your grill... maybe there are an abundance of some of those chemicals in your product?
