Some imaginary Swims dream buddy's best friends uncle is having some issues - at first he would do a freeze precip then syphon off the naptha and scrape up the xtals and try to dry them on a plate but they would always melt into a puddle then slowly xtalize over a period of days, scraping it up was an irritating task so he thought to himself - their gonna melt anyway, scraping is not fun why not just pour a cc or 2 of acetone in the freeze precip vessel to disolve the spice so it can just be sucked out and evapped out again. - This is swims current position - whichever way he goes the nice xtals he just grew in naptha always melt - his spice is rather yellow too.

What should swim do ? how do other swims get their freeze precip xtals to stay sold while drying ?

this issue seemed to happen rather randomly with SWIM also. It is possible that naphtha trapped between the crystals warms up and then redissolves it.

One thing he tried that worked was to quickly scrape the crystals still inside the naphtha, pour through coffee filter in a funnel and use improvised vacuum suction to quickly dry them. I made a thread about how to make an improvised vacuum filtering with a water bottle (better a harder plastic such as milk jug), a funnel, coffee filter and a vacuum cleaner, if you're interested.

or just letting gravity do the filtering (with the funnel standing somewhere) works too, but not as well

I think keeping it cold while it is drying helps a lot. Since the weather has been very cold lately, one elf has been drying his spice with a fan in a very cold room. This seems to work pretty well. One could dry it in a freezer as well.

its hot and humid where swim stays like 30 degrees centigrade with 100% humidity, condensation is a real concern - 1 minute out the freezer and there is a puddle comming off the vessel - swim must work fast if he is to succeed.
