My friend Stephen's latest doings:
He brewed about 1 cup of MHRB powder in three boils, each time in a small, maybe 6-cup pot. Each boil, he let the pot sit for 6 hours or so, then poured the dark-red liquid into a container, which he will allow to sit but will probably test out tonight, regardless of tannins likely being left inside. He has been concerned over whether he is using too little water in his boils (does anyone know if it matters?) He doesn't think he'll filter the MHRB, just let it settle.

He must have used two cups of shredded yello caapi, but now that he has taken a closer look at what people say the dosage should be, he sort of regrets not using more, due to wanting enough for at least 5 strong journeys.

SO Stephen needs any tips and tricks you guys could possibly give on eye-balling these drinks. Thinking of just doing shots of caapi drank until he feels the "caapi high" then noting how many shots it takes (for future reference), then taking shots of MHRB drank (perhaps one every 15 minutes).

A question, in his very own words: "If I overshoot the dose, which I imagine could easily happen with MHRB, how bad could the experience get? I have smoked DMT and pretty sure I broke through once. I don't want to regret overshooting it because I want to make sure I keep doing Ayahuasca for these next few weeks/months to improve myself as a person. I don't want to give up."

whew. Many concerns, but generally just wants to die asap. And of course be reborn. But death is the main goal for now.

Check that link. Better not overshoot, a mimosa kick in the ass can get unpleasant Smile Go into it with good intentions, take an appropriate dosage and be sure to integrate afterwards.

If its your first time taking mimosa and you already found the caapi strenght, take around 3g mimosa. You can always load up the pipe with some freebase dmt if you dont get exactly where you want (or you could consume more the same night even). Just be respectful and do your part and all will be good Smile

So about 3/4 cup of caapi brew was consumed. First half of it, then, 20 minutes later, the rest. Nothing noticeable, and so about one shot of MHRB brew was consumed. This stuff is much, much worse than remembered, haha. Writing this way is interesting, what name should this form of writing be given? Perhaps impersonal narration.

Anyway, all lengths of time accounted for thus far. 10 minutes after downing a bit less than one shot of MHRB, the second semi-shot was consumed. Despite trying to be strong and focusing on determination, stomach contents were evacuated within 20 minutes, seconds after a revisiting the bathroom in order to relieve bladders of their cargo.

I have a feeling that there was enough MHRB in this scenario (possibly more than enough, or maybe just more than enough tannins) and not enough caapi.

The mental experiment I described above will be re-attempted and re-written for my favorite fictional character, Stephen Dedalus, in a couple of days, only with twice the caapi dosage this time.

Dedalus is impatient. His experience only reminded him of "what it's like," and, this feeling, temporarily reached while meditating and waiting, was indeed cause for his heart to begin REALLY pounding; nevertheless, he wants to break his soul open like a walnut. Is he naive?

Just read ur post, and thank you Endlessness. Your words are reassuring and yes, what I need. I'm scared, of course; but I must get on with it. Thank you. I'll read that link now, I'm sure it's amusing haha.

It seems that tannins settling took DMT away with them. Stephen believed he was committing foolery when he took double his last session's caapi dose and once again took a double shot of MHRB brew; however, no noticeable effects came this time. He noticed that the MHRB was not as literally (or figuratively) unbearable as it was last time. Must be tannins. Must be the tannins contain lots of DMT or took them away, too.

In the last experience, Stephen got a "reminder" of what the DMT trip is like. This "reminder" caused his heart to beat VERY fast and hard for a minute or two, while it was happening. Could it have been placebo? After all, there's quite a build-up to Aya throughout the day before taking it and then while taking it.

Anyway, just doubled the dosage 10 minutes ago. Shooting for the moon, if I don't make it I'll be pissed off.

back when such things were much easier to find.... * used to eyeball 5meo to smoke.
One knife tip was normally sufficient.

My advice at this moment is buy a scale.
