If you've ever been delerious during a 103F+ fever, that would be fun compared to a datura delerium. It shouldn't even be called a high.

I've grown them for the seeds, which I may take 3-5 for general nausea. They are better than dramamine for motion sickness. For anything more, there are so many other better things out there it isn't worth the trouble. It seems that even salvia has similar effects without all the negatives, but I stick to the tryps and phens. The problem is that these plants are widespread and too many kids want quick easy highs, so there will always be those that do it no matter what they are told (drug "education" by the police is not helping either).

They are all highly toxic but the biggest issue with tropanes is their alkaloid content, it may vary GREATLY. This is the main reason why people should avoid using raw plant material, if somebody wishes to use tropanes he/she would be wise to extract and isolate the alkaloids in order to precisely measure the dose.

Any "tek" except the latter is russian roulette with these plants.

I've personally experimented with them, most specifically the Belladonna, I've used them as eyedrops which was very uncomfortable, insane pupil dilation, light sensitivity and tracers which later on actually made my eyes feel terribly sore.

With oral use, dry plant material was water extracted for a very crude product (DO NOT DO THIS) and it made me feel terrible, I felt tremendously sick but couldn't vomit, I felt weak, quite feverish and insanely paranoid. This lasted for 7 hours and my "sleep" which was a riot of nightmares made me wake up in panic and cold sweat several times.

On the next day I felt like I'd been laying in bed for years, I could barely move, I was stuck with the dreadful sickness and couldn't motivate myself to do anything at all.

The rest of that day was spent on my sofa in complete catatonia.

The amount of dry product was miniscule and wasn't even intended to yield any sort of delirient experience, yet it caused severe side-effects. I was merely taking step by step with this plant to see what the side-effects were. I have little to no interest left in the plant at all, I strongly doubt that ANYONE would slowly go up in dose untill "effects" were achieved, the side effects before the deliriant doses alone is enough to put anyone's motivation off track.

I do however have a slight bit of curiousity for doing a changa mix with a tiny amount of it in; "And... a little bit of death... *drops dry belladonna parts into concotion*"

Why I do not now nor recommend.

Tropane alkaloids are highly toxic (not psychedelic/hallucinogenic in any sense) and should not be used as a recreational drug
Mad, bad and dangerous to know.

There's magic out there!

DANGER.
DO NOT TAKE DATURA OR JIMSON WEED OR ROOT OR BERRY

Well

I knew someone that died after drinking a tea made from Jimson weed (Datura).

He was found submerged in a lake.

Hallucinations so vivid but kinda like you are fully awake and wandering around physically (very dangerous) while being in a combination of real and dream worlds.

anything, and anyone may appear, so real that you would bet your life that IT IS REAL.

There were 2 other friends with the one that was found submerged.

One of the three was "ok", and the 3rd friend wasn't found until a day later. He was still in the "other" world and was in the middle of a large patch of prickly bushes. I am not sure if he ended up with long term negative effects. I moved just before these friends did their overnight camping trip that resulted in this. We were 16 at the time.

Definitely read the Carlos Castaneda series starting with the "Teachings of Don Juan".

Required reading IMAO.

I am certifiably insane, as such all posts written by me should be regarded as utter nonsense or attempts to get attention by using totally fictitious verbiage...........

The above refers to the fictitious 'I'

Criminal elements in Colombia use a potent powder extract of Datura to rob people. There are quite a few fatalities amongst the victims.
"Devils Breath" as its known locally. http://www.vice.com/vice...an-devil-s-breath-1-of-2.

everyone i know who has taken it (including myself) never reccomend it to any one certain parts of the Caribbean and west indies is used as coma inducing type substance, or like a said in my previous post "joy juice" in Trinidad which tourists normally flip out on and kill themselves, the locals know not to take it and use it as a poison/coma inducing substane

again i repeat

DO NOT TAKE DO NOT TAKE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE

I found my way here after asking the artist which flowers these were. Has anyone had any first hand experience of adding a few flowers to a brew?

By the looks of all of these red letter warnings, I suppose it is something Best Avoided unless under the care and supervision of a Maestro Vegelista/ayahuascero/Shaman.

as far as I know the problem with the flowers is that they are very unpredictable in alkaloid content. One flower could be enough to send you to the hospital while another may not give more than a dry mouth. In general I've heard the advice to stay away from the flowers. Seeds no more than 10 for slight enhancement of psychedelic effects and anti-nausea. I don't remember which - stramonium or metel or innoxia - was more indicated for this kind of use. Needless to say I have never tried it.

They are beautiful plants, both Daturas and Brugmansias, but they are unsafe and thus best avoided for consumation in an effective dose.
Buon viso a cattivo gioco!
