Hello friends. Recently I have been having some pretty vivid and strange dreams and I thought that this might be the place to receive some helpful insights on them. I have been looking online but the websites I have been coming across seem to be vague and superficial interpretations of dream symbolism. Any help would be amazing. <3

In my first dream I am driving a white delivery truck. I am not sure what I am delivering but the people seem very happy that I am visiting them. They also seem concerned that My "secret identity" will eventually wear me down. Upon leaving one of these peoples houses I notice that on the side of my truck is a staff with two snakes wrapped around it in a spiral. I see this symbol and suddenly begin to paint it red. The symbol begins to pulse and vibrate, it is very vibrant. Nervous I look back behind me and see a dark skinned man with dark hair staring at me with a very serious look. His gaze makes me scared and I try to wipe away the red symbol, but I cannot.

In my second dream I am a girl in some kind of school. I want desperately to be popular and am upset that I am not as loved as I think I should be. Suddenly I am thrown into space and shattered into a million pieces that form geometric and organic looking fractal patterns. These pieces slowly come together to form what I can only describe as a cosmic heart made of light and stars. The heart tells me "Love is the only reason we are here."

I have recently become interested in the occult and shamanism so just before having the second dream I wrote a letter asking for spiritual guidance on a piece of paper then I threw the paper into a fire.

What do you wonderful beings think?

The only one that knows what your dreams mean is you...it's usually your subconscious mind trying to tell you something.
The character Indoril_Nerevar is an artistic work of fiction, and thus all his claims and ideas are works of falsehood and fiction and should be treated likewise. There is no relation between Indoril_Nerevar and any real living or dead person, and any existing similarity or seeming relation is purerly coincidental.

I agree with indroil. Dreams tend to have hidden messages in them that only you can understand (or sometimes not until an even happens). My interpretation of the dream, if I may try to interpret your subconscious (if that's possible), is that you are experiencing spiritual dilemmas. These I cannot identify for I am not you. But to me the first dream seems to have a biblical significance. For the symbol you see is a symbol of healing (Moses created a cross with snakes on it to cure his people of disease). Also it is found of ambulances today. It seems ironic though that when the man stares at you, you try to erase the symbol. Now to me this man is maybe an idea of Satan (or any evil) that you identify highly with. So maybe you are concerned with the healing purposes of spirituality because of the evil it seems to conflict? This I cannot tell you.
The second dream, I can sort of relate to because I have many dreams that take place in public setting (such as school) and I go through similar unloved experiences. Being shattered into many pieces and experiencing how that feels might be a message conveying that in spiritual practice all sense of these ideas (beauty, popularity and whatnot) are completely obliterated. The love is the only reason we are here part I cannot tell you. It seems that you are maybe trying to understand that love is not measured by human standard. I don't really know.
I hope this helped some! And don't take what I said to serious it could be completely different! But just maybe it will help you Smile Best of luck!

Thank you for your responses! I was also wondering if any of you would be able to pont me toward literature that deals with Shamanic and dream experiences?

Yes many dreams pertain, to our own life struggles, and or whatever may be happening in that point of your life.

Also you are sleeping on your, pillow, some may know this but, if you sleep on someone elses pillow besides your own, you will have really strange bizzare dreams.

Good luck with interpretation.

Very interesting dreams, Shichi! Makes me wonder if past psychedelic experience has any influence in your dreams.

In terms of books, my buddy read The Dreaming Universe and recommended it to me. I haven't read it, but it looks interesting. I don't know about any shamanic approaches, though.

Last night I dreamed my house burned.

While it was going up in flames, I entered through a window in order to save 3 things:
Mimosa tenuiflora, Mimosa arenosa, and Mimosa ophthalmocentra.

I somehow salvaged these items; for some reason, that's all I had went back in for.

If you haven't looked into Carl Jung, that may be worth a look. "The Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious" also "The Essential Jung" by Anthony Storr are both good. Of course kind of depends on whether you want to look into psychology or not. But anyway's there it is if you're interested.

Interesting dreams. Setting intentions and making affirmations like you have done in the form of that letter can definitely aid in dream work. I would encourage you to keep a dream journal if you don’t already and record your dreams on waking if you wish to recall more details in the future. In parts of my life when I was under a lot of stress I had dreams about huge tsunamis coming to get me. I always survived though, by either meeting them head on (in a vehicle) or me standing my ground them fizzling out before them getting to me. I was always pretty skeptical of dream symbolism as it seems like it is too personal and subjective an experience for such extrapolations, but lots of water and large waves can apparently equate to emotional overload, which certainly could describe my states of mind at those times. I remember having a dream after this when I was much more at peace after this period or turmoil and the ocean in front of me was completely calm. Dreams of large waves are one of my most reoccurring dreams, not often in a negative way, more often than not I'm looking down at them from up high in awe.

Random, did the symbol you encounter resemble this in any way??
