I'm standing up for the red wrapped marvel, this cokeism is unacceptable and cannot be allowed to continue, all hail the coke and its sugary goodness Very happy

On a serious note, coke is the hardest habit I have ever tried to quit, I smoked weed and tobacco for 15 years and they were both a breeze to give up compared to the black stuff. I used to get twitchy without my daily supply.

I know it sounds crazy but its just so lovely.

it's all in your mind, but what's your mind???

Ahm, what? Source please.... ?

From the info I can gather form the Internet I see that there is a flavor company that uses aborted fetal cells for their flavor research. Several big companies like Coca Cola, Nestle, Craft foods and Pepsi make use of the researched results of this company.

So unfortunately for Infundibulum there are no aborted fetal cells in cola, they were only used by a third company for flavor research. Of course this makes me wonder if organic companies use results from such companies as well, it's after all pretty organic.

That having said however, I think that in the food industry there are many unethical things at work to make things cheaper and 'better'. When possible I get myself biological food though I always wonder how biological it really is.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

This stuff is delicious and much healthier:

They only use the finest organic foetuses collected from uncontacted tribes deep in the Amazon.

This explains it a bit better.. Seems like some out-of-context exageration to imply that there are aborted fetus cells in soda because they dont make it to the final product. Also, the fetus are from many years ago, the cell culture is there already. Of course it would be a valid subject of discussion to talk about stem cell / fetus cell research, but we have to add a lot more variables to the whole question.

In any case, I dont like drinking cola though, mostly because I dont want to give money to what I think is an unethical company. The sugar is too much for me too. I definitely prefer a natural juice over some soda any time, or just water. I just think that going against these companies using strong sounding (but misleading) arguments just serves to lose legitimacy of the constructuve criticism which could be made instead

But yeah I agree with you, also there is a lot of unsustainability with some natural/organic food too. I think two factors that are very important and often overlooked is whether its local food or not, and the packaging too..

Just like the heroin thing. I can imagine people talking about that...

"Have you heard? Coke is like heroin!!!"

Ok, cool, why not try some H then??

This horrible, dangerous drug mainstreaming must end. No drug is the same.

Couldn't resist...

"God is not outside us but is just us, the living and the dead, the never-lived and never-died. That we should learn it only now, is supreme reality, it was written a long time ago in the archives of universal mind, it is already done, there's no more to do." ~ Jack Kerouac

Does anyone know why the Mexican coca cola in the glass bottles tastes way better than "regular" coca cola?

It's best enjoyed if you stick it in the freezer until it's really cold and has little ice crystals floating around in it, then drinking it in moderation.Wink

Because everything tastes better out of glass. I used to be able to get Dr Pepper in a glass bottle till about 1998. It was SO much better I'd make special trips to that store, the only one that still sold it that way. Sigh...it makes me depressed to think that it's gone forever. At least beer still comes in glass.
