So I was making my weekly lsa drink and I decided to just do a cold water extract but when i went to check on my medicine it smelled like naphtha  . I guess i didnt dry the seeds enough but theres a verry thin layer of naphtha on top, not even 5 ml. If i just siphon that top layer off will I be ok to drink it? Also how toxic is VM+P naphtha? In any case, I'm not recommending you do anything, but I recall hearing that naptha actually has a pretty low toxicity (less than caffeine I think). For a week or so when I first started doing spice extractions, I was keeping an open tray of spice saturated naptha in the freezer, but the freezer had food in it. As a result a lot of the food tasted like naptha (especially carbs) and it somehow took us (my roommates and I) a few days to catch on to why the food tasted funny! None of us got sick or anything like that, but it didn't taste too pleasant. Again, not saying I'm recommending, any course of action; just saying. "Science without religion is lame. naphtha is as innocuous as most solvents get, aside from water.
