happens to me too, don't fret. Meditate on it, and you will get the answer whether you will or won't during the meditation. At least, that's what works for me.

There have been many times where I prepare for a whole week or so to have an extreme psychedelic experience, and when the time finally comes, I've aborted because it didn't feel quite right. You may have to wait an hour, a day, or six months before things feel just right. Are you smoking freebase or changa? When I first started smoking, I smoked freebase only and always went for a breakthrough, which eventually led to quite a bit of pre-flight anxiety. Now days, I almost always pair spice with some form of harmalas, and I don't plan for a breakthrough. I just let the vibes take me... It's not exactly irrational to feel a little nervous about possibly traveling through time, communicating with bizarre entities in parallel dimensions, experiencing complete ego death, or having a face-to-face with "God". Finding the methods and tools that provide for the smoothest transition are the key. Peace and Happy Journeys All posts are completely fictional and for educational purposes only

They say deep breathing for 5 to ten minutes. But if you were going to go on the rollercoaster at the fun park. Wouldnt you feel nervous? I think this nervous is normal and could be a form or excitement. But don't take it from me. I packed the bowl with a layer of spice and still get the 2d visuals of lines that move to the music in my headphones.. No breakthrough. Cheers! Just a suggestion. I don't know much about meditation. So I exercise b4 hand. I don't know what your views are on exercise, but that takes care of the anxiety part for me. I usually go for a good run, stretch out, and cool off then blast off. That way your body's relaxed, heart rates lowered, lungs clear/you're good and oxygenated, and have a good feeling of well being. I have an overactive imagination, and am certifiably insane. So anything I post is purely fictional.

This anxiety is perfectly normal, has been discussed intensively for a while around here. Exercises are great, because through them you relieve from physical stress. I find it much easier to meditate after exercising, the mind is more focused then. Just sit quietly with your eyes closed, and don't think about stuff, just observe what ever is coming to you. If you find yourself slipping into thinking, it's okay, just return to "stand-by" Do this for 10-15 minutes and your mind should be able at this point to accept/let go more easily. OR, just do what ever practice works best for you for clearing your mind. This feeling will subside after a while, or it'll start feeling different. For me, it transformed into respect for this stuff. I always remember to trust the substance to do its thing, and my body to keep doing what it does best. Never fails. The truth...lies within.

The day my preflight anxiety goes away will be the day I start to worry. Your fear is your offering of respect to the spice, once you leave the launch pad it is taken away and you are given your reward INHALE, SURVIVE, ADAPT it's all in your mind, but what's your mind??? fool of the year

Like other said, it's completely normal. Think of it as the 'healthy' fear you get before jumping of a trampoline... You only have to do that half step, then everything will happen by itself. Of course, if it's too overwhelming, you should find a way to reduced it. Meditation, physical activity and some sort of ritual always work well. Listen to a man of experience: thou wilt learn more in the woods than in books. Trees and stones will teach thee more than thou canst acquire from the mouth of a master. St. Bernard

You have lived all your life in a way that has taken you far away from yourself. You are of course afraid to face the person that you are because you have been in denial for so long. Don't worry, you have nothing to fear. You are beautiful. "Eat your vegetables and do as you're told, or you won't be going to the funfair!"

there is always a lot of nervousness prior to my vaping adventures but I find the best way is to just be brave and take that first hit , then when you get that insane dmt feeling its just a race before you lose your mind completely , just keep vaping until reality dissolves , it always works for me

I have a theory that goes something like this. DMT trips a switch in the primitive fear processing part of the brain ( locus caeruleus? ) As DMT may be interpreted by the "primitive brain" as a "death experience" The rationale brain cannot overide this primal instinct so easily through logic, I'd say many have learnt to deal with it, but it's still often an issue. The first time I did it I could litteraly feel the panicked primate inside me wanting to simply run ( flight) as resistance ( fight) was not an option. The easiest times were always when I couldn't care if I died at that very moment in time., not a feeling one gets everyday. Just me wee tuppence worth ! ( not gospel) ^ I agree. It is a pretty intense trip for the amount of time spent. Kinda like pressing fast forward on a movie like inception. Like they say about love. Distance makes the heart grow fonder... Maybe fearful to see the truth, to face the fact that we have wasted a lot of time and energy taking ourselves too seriously trying in vain to find our true natures the wrong way. -Well, now you have found the right way. Remember to start this journey in baby steps.. "Eat your vegetables and do as you're told, or you won't be going to the funfair!"

This happens to me a lot too. Nothing a little meditation can't fix. Relax, clear your mind deep slow breaths for as long as it takes then just go for it. Don't think about it, just do it.
Changa or sub lingual harmalas are nice cause it takes the intensity out of the experience.
You could also try vaping a small amount of spice at first, like 10mgs. This usually helps me ease my anxiety and makes me feel warm and comfortable. Then follow it up with a full dose.
Its funny cause whenever I go into it with anxiety I always come out of it wondering what in the hell I was so afraid of in the first place!
