my stb extraction sitting in a gallon plastic jug ate through the bottom and dyed and lyed my floor. has this ever happened to anyone? and what are your guys's thoughts on plastic in dmt made this way? "Trust in your own wetware; your psyche and your body will be reunited." -Gracie and Zarkov

what kind of plastic? What solvent where you using? Was the solution stirred and lye added gradually or was it all added at once, and/or let the lye dissolve by itself without stirring?

lye and naphtha. i saturated water w/ enough lye and then mixed it in with the mhrb into a slurry. i'll have to get back to you on the type of plastic all i know now is that it was a distilled water jug. "Trust in your own wetware; your psyche and your body will be reunited." -Gracie and Zarkov

If you have to use plastic, make sure it is HDPE, high density polyethylene. What you explain has never happened to me, and I only used either glass, pyrex or HDPE jugs when storing certain chemicals. "The Menu is Not The Meal." - Alan Watts

Pour a lot of vinegar over that lye.
This is known to happen with HDPE#2 jugs over time.
Better to use glass in the sink or something as they also can leach plasticizers into the product which are carcinogenic.
