Search results do not have a link to exact post in the thread where the words were found. You can only go to the beginning of the thread then read in there to find the post with the words you searched.
It would be easier to link the results to the respective post in the thread.
Thanks.

An advanced search feature would really be an asset to the forum. The Shroomery has a nice advanced search feature - I would have never found all the information of that forum without it: 'Tis an ill wind which blows no minds

If the DMT-Nexus search isn't locating what you are looking for, it can easily be found on google.
For example "Trying to improve acacia" "Dmt-nexus" in google would pull up the thread instantly.
Quote some keywords you remember (quote has to be exact) and quote DMT-Nexus and you can find things a lot easier this way.

For the benefit of others looking to refine their searches, you can also always search within any site by doing: site:www.thesite.com keyword1 keyword2 (There can't be any space before or after the colon) You can follow that with the same search parameters you would normally use, for example: site:www.dmt-nexus.me d-limonene xylene "extraction tek" -hydroxide which means "search within the www.dmt-nexus.me site for any pages that contain the words d-limonene AND xylene AND the exact phrase 'extraction tek' but NOT the word hydroxide. I don't know, I don't like using google to search for the kinds of things I look at here. The regular search could be better, but I really wish we had a quick search button for searching within a forum category. The quick search is common on the vBulletin forums, but we don't have one. It's no big deal though. I very much appreciate everything Traveler has done for us here.

Another suggestion would be to have the search highlight the word(s) you are searching for in the results. Its nice to see if that is what you are really looking for. Example: blind. Can come up as blind for not seeing, but could be blind sided. This highlight would help to not have to read the entire post to find out that is not what you were searching for. Done: THC - LSD - MESC - MDMA - Shrooms - DMT / Want:Hyperspace travel - World Peace Respect, intention, meditation, inhalation, observation, analyzation, respect.

Google has changed its syntax recently. What the above search will currently do is look for a document that: • Is from domain www.dmt-nexus.me• May contain the terms “d-limonene” or “xylene” • Must contain the string “extraction tek” • Must not contain the term “hydroxide” Google is not using the “+” operator which used to define terms which must be found in the search. Now the behaviour is that required strings should be enclosed in double quotes, as was the previous behaviour for “exact phrase”. http://www.googleguide.com/quote_operator.html

Then a menu comes up and it will say at the bottom of the list "find on page". Works! Thanks guys! But.. It would have been a nice search feature if easy to impliment. One thing I find is a pain with the search is when I look up a topic get a list and click on the link read it and then click back to go to another link from the same list, but no you gotta start over with a whole new search. its minor really but when u have a slow conection and trying to do quick research it can be a pain.

Open the link in a new tab instead of going directly. I usually just look down the list of results and open any that might be useful into background tabs (CTRL-Shift click in Opera, probably the same in Firefox). I think the reason it doesn't remember your search if you navigate away from the page is something to do with how HTTPS handles inputted data, could be completely wrong about that though. -Я Ξ √ Ω L U T ↑ Ø N-

http://www.google.com/ad...https://www.dmt-nexus.methere seems to be threads missed by the search function here that google advanced search gets hits on. you can search for exact phrases by enclosing in quotation marks as well. ex - "brown solvent" will give you results with that exact phrase, where not having quotes will give you hits for every thread with either the word brown or solvent in it. you can also specify if you only want matches in the title or in the text as well as not show results with certain words, helping to narrow searches down to relevant topics only.

It would also be nice to be able to search through (your own) PM's. Was just discussing this yesterday while PMing. I don't know if there would be a cost to adding search functions to NExus, but perhaps the administrator(s) could let us know...this is something I would be willing to contribute to. WHOA!
