Hello everyone!
Swim has a large amount of finely ground mushroom material on hand of the psilocybe variety and is very interested in making an extract than could be vaporized!
So far this is the idea;
Soak material over night in 99% IPA with occasional agitation, then evap solvent in the morning.
Swim has seen a few threads with a pictorial of a extract done the same way except with everclear.
Is this procedure viable? Swim has anhydrous acetone and naptha on hand if those could help clean up the product at all?

Are you referring to the post on this site which also wasn't sure if they were correct? IPA saturated with citric acid?
Is this acidification step necessary and if so why?
Swim realizes that this would only be extracting the salt.. if Swim did acidify the IPA. Apparently the salt is very vulnerable to oxidation so Swims question would be how to best convert it to back to freebase? NaOH?
Swim realizes he have asked a lot of questions. If the answers are out there Swim has missed them.

psilocybin extraction via a/b is complex, because it has five possible charge states, and little is known about the activity of the charged species

optimal pH for extraction is 3.8. basifying will leave you with something mildly active or inactive
