Very cool stuff. Thanks both of you for those links. Kind of inspires me to try out the persinger (shiva or god) helmet. "Curiouser and curiouser..." ~ Alice
"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha

Hyperspace Fool, I happen to own one of those brain stimulation devices (the Shakti), and working with it is interesting, but deeply strange. Not like a trip, but not like anything else I can think of either. On second thought, it's like a trip in one way. There is a *powerful* sense of strangeness about the experience, though it's difficult to say why. And yes, I've tried it in combination with tryptamines, specifically with Ayahuasca. Well, once. The jury's still out on that one. I felt like I was getting into deep water, metaphorically speaking. Ceci n'est pas Thesmorphia.

The Shakti doesn't have the god helmet settings right? I remember e-mailing the company about this. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

Cool man. Perhaps you would consider making a thread about your experiences and experiments with it? I know a lot of people here are really curious about that SOB.
