I took a baby step of 10mg maybe 6 weeks ago, with the machine and the burned and washed copper mesh. Since then the copper has been in a plastic bag in a cool dark place. Is it dangerous to use again at this time? It's not the last copper I have, but if it becomes unsafe this quickly then at this rate I'll have to cut and burn a new piece of copper every time I smoke.

As long as you’re not accumulating burned DMT residue on the copper, you can use it over and over indefinitely. I clean mine every time I clean the GVG (about every 3-4 uses) by soaking it in vinegar for a minute or so, then rinsing thoroughly.
