Hello everyone just got abourd the nexus and im in a bit of a pickle. Ive ordered some 10x salvia n have some dmt. which would be an easier landscape to rid myself of fear and prepare for the shift thats coming? A little about myself, ive drank alcohol every chance ive had since i was 14 im 19 now (ive quit for about a year) ive done mushrooms once (went terrible, i turned pale and couldnt say a word around anyone) half a pill of extasy and five lines of cocaine my first time which turned into a personality and porn addiction. Ever since i quit drinking ive had terrible social anxiety (always had it but not to this degree) and general paranoia especially when i get high smoking weed (forgot to mention). ive had lots of family issues i wont get into. Weed definately gets me higher than my comfort zone even from one hit but always seems to help me deal with my problems and leaves me feeling better for maybe a week or so. Ive done Remote viewing and Influencing meditation Cds that have helped tremendously and helps me secrete dmt naturally. i feel i need an ego shattering experience thats not long and drawn out to truly let go of these issues and experience the all that is. So which do ya think i should do first? sorry for the length all comments are appreciated.

DMT, but for that you need to start from low doses, such as 10-13mg and have a proper vaporization tool such as vaporgenie(+mesh screen+torch lighter).

You might want to try both, but make sure you start with low doses.

Awsome thanks. Yea i was leaning towards dmt it seems to be more rewarding and natural although salvia is natural. I plan on either getting a vapor genie or an essential vaaapp. which one do you think is more effective?

dear spicentheogodmt,

I'm not sure either of them are really good choices for you at the moment, but if you must do it, I would suggest dmt. In my experience "letting go of issues" is usually a lot more involved than simply taking a psychedelic, no matter which one. I think with the help of psychedelics we can experience how it would or will feel once we have successfully let go of whatever issue it is we are clinging to, and while sometimes it actually does seem to cure one from certain issues, I wouldn't say it's the general rule.

Other things to consider is that for some people the use of psychedelics actually increses social anxiety and estranges them even more from what they perceive is the norm of society.

The idea to use psychedelics or any kind of mental-state-changing-substance to deal with problems is itself a problematic issue because psychological dependencies can form as well as general confusion. I personally believe that psychedelics can be a great aid but I also feel that they are dangerously mis- or under-understood (i.e. not understood enough) and hence their use does not always result in something positive. IMO it takes practice and understanding to be able to use them for psychological work. That means you either need a guide who really knows what he's doing or you need experience with these things before you can really apply them to specific things. Otherwise you are at the mercy of the whim of your mind and your surrounding.

In order to gain experience I wouldn't directly try to work on specific problems nor would I take psychedelics in a fragile state of mind. It makes sense to actually be mentally stable and healthy to explore the realms of the mind, to get to know yourself and the effects of the substances you wish to work with, before addressing difficult areas. Of course with psychedelics you won't always have a choice... If you have pressing matters they probably will come up... so beware. Try to find a time and space in which you feel at peace with yourself; try to achieve this peace by and through yourself; then set off to explore what more is out there.

Just my 2¢

Thank you enoon for the advise. I'm pretty certain i have to do dmt or salvia because ive been down the rabbit hole as far as it can go and have been searching far and wide i think ever since the cocaine incident (a few years back) and its seems these substances is where ive been lead to. I feel at peace with myself for the most part. ive done months upon months worth of research. ive also fasted for several days on many occasions. its just those certain issues that i just cant seem to address. Hopefully its lifts the viel for me into the light.

My experience with DMT is practically nonexistant, but from what I know about Salvia, I'd say go with DMT.

For introspection, and I say this while taking your bad experience with mushrooms into account, I've had good experiences with lower doses of sclerotia (P. Tampanensis), out in Nature.

At any rate, don't expect any psychedelic substance to magically solve things for you - perhaps you'll get a clearer view of what needs to change, but you still have to do the work yourself (if this is obvious for you, please disregard)
This is the time to really find out who you are and enjoy every moment you have. Take advantage of it.

I’d suggest salvia for a first time, but at a reasonable dose (about 40mg of 10X).

I can only speak from personal experience, and my experience with salvia isn’t typical (but typical use seems to involve massive doses in awful settings), but salvia much more reliably provides ego loss. And salvia dissolves your emotions/fears as it dissolves your ego, so there isn’t any anxiety about the loss of self.

Salvia often provides an emotional reset. Regardless of how you felt going into the experience, you’ll feel more emotionally neutral coming out of it. (Good for anxiety and depression.) I find that DMT often tends to amplify emotional states. Not so with salvia.

After having said all of that, I must say that either is a very good choice.

O wow, that sounds perfect. Im gunna be experimenting with the dream root from africa (synaptolepis kirkii) before i do sally d or dmt. i hear its like a movie bein played out and people wake up in thier dreams and thier actually asleep but it feels real. It says you'll have prophetic dreams and the ancestors will answer your questions. Maybe ill ask the ancestors. but i still appreciate all the advice to gain more insight from everyones experiences.

Just remember that it hasn't been proven that dmt is released in the brain. So, keeping that in mind, your own brain/mind helped you out during meditation... probably not a psychedelic. Which should, in the end, be more rewarding.

Also remember that, when regarding inner struggles, etc, psychedelics are a tool... but YOU have to do the work.

I would agree that a low dose of DMT would be the better one to start out with.

Good luck and be safe!

A friend of mine was in a similar situation as yourself. He wanted to try both dmt and salvia so i told him to come to my house and we would discuss it. He settled on trying dmt first which he absolutely loved! Around 2 hours later he tried salvia, i can tell you he didn't enjoy the salvia at all!

Salvia is for experienced psychonauts imho, it can be a very cruel teacher until you know what you are getting into. Dmt can be a very friendly teacher but usually kicks your ass the more experienced you become with it.

Go for dmt i would say.

I'd say Enoon spelled it out pretty well. And although salvia can be a useful tool, as gibran2 says, most people I know(including myself) have had the most anxiety-ridden experiences with old Sally. If you're set on trying them, I'd say do DMT first and salvia possibly never.Smile

interestingly enough, if you replace the word salvia in those paragraphs with dmt, i think it is very fitting too. i think dmt provides ego loss with incredible ease personally. yet to try salvia, dont hear of it much in australia, but from what i have heard from various people it is far more uncomfortable than dmt. heard very mixed things about salvia, which i guess has a lot to do with the settings its being used in, but i do consistently hear reports about it being an uncomfortable experience

The introduction to Salvia has to be done very cautiously and gradual. Heroic doses for first timers are usually once only experiences. ( everybodys probably seen the hillarious Bad trip on You-Tube, link)

I spent more than a year experimenting with salvia before trying DMT, only because I didn't know about dmt at the time.
Salvia can be really powerful, blow your mind powerful, so don't discount it, but the blastoff isn't nearly as intense at as dmt.
Salvia comes on more slowly and with far less earth shattering power.
Saliva is also less visual and its a much lower energy experience.

These days I much prefer dmt, but every so often I return to salvia for a visit and am still astonished at how powerful it can be ( I like to use the 20x salvia where one puff and its bu-bye.)

Peace

I agree with almost all of that. I know many people who absolutely abhor salvia, but my first time was glorious with some of the most beautiful visuals I have ever seen.

Both can be crazy powerful. I'd say DMT is a safer first experience though (easier to control doses, etc).

Good luck!

Salvia is definitely not for the faint of heart. But with that said

Salvia was the first "drug" I ever tried. Waaaaaay before I even heard about DMT. I must say, if you have the right attitutde and mindset going into it, Salvia can be incredibly powerful and healing. I remember coming to, and just feeling amazing. The next day I felt downright awesome. But it much more warped than DMT. Salvia will twist and mangle you, shove you into the pockets of yourself, and flip you through the many pages of reality. If you try to go against it, you are in for a rough ride. If you can manage to go with the green goddess, she will show you how truly wonderous things are.

DMT is much more loving, and forgiving, IMO. DMT will show you love through the sparkling inifinite star, and lift your spirit outwards (as opposed to Sally taking you IN).

I would probably go with DMT first. It seems more enjoyable to a majority of people, and definitely gentler.
Let the plants guide you, for they teach lessons beyond what we humans can offer.
Distorted is our perception of reality, because reality is much more distorted than we could ever perceive it to be.
