Making spice first time, q2121 first pull 24 howrs after basification and got only 20-30 ml of naphtha to the precipitation container trying second pull now. Please some advise
PS can I pour the second pull in the same precipitation container I poured the first one?
Are alluminum foil can OK for use as a precipitation container?

I never seperate my pulls. I just pull them all into the same container and evap a little before freeze precip. It's all going to end up in the same pipe anyway.

I wouldn't use an aluminum can though. Use something glass. I use a Pyrex glass dish. It's easier to scrape up like this.

As for the absorption problem, letting your basified bark dry out to a more crumbly texture before pulling may help. There are plenty of threads on absorption problems with q21s tek 2. Just try the search function.

If I make it more dry won't it absorbe more naphtha?

Just basify it more. Add another portion of lye/lime and the naptha will separate right away.

Crumbly but moist is the best consistency in my experience.

If you used the correct amount of lime as the tek states, no need to add more.
If you want to have less naphtha loss, just dry it a bit, so it becomes clumpy, not like mashed potatoes(which will absorb more)

Finally everything ok. Got some beautifull snowballs today. I'll try one more pull tomorow. Made my self the key to smoke it and when I'll feel ready I'm on my first flight (maybe 15mg cause I'm 40 and haven't done a heart chech up yet)
PS The whole frige stinks naptha is it bad for food in the fridge?

How did you deal with the naphtha loss?

I didn't do much about the naphtha loss. I countinued with an other pull with a new batch of naptha (I had less absrorbance) and I'll do an other pull tonight with the old naptha. The yeld seems good, I'm not that anxious to bring out all of the spice since it's my first try and I'm already happy with my crystals although I haven't weighed the spice yet because it's still in the container. Naphtha seems to have evaporated but there are still some very tiny drops beside the crystals that won't evaporate. Perhaps it's water and or vinegar. I think I'm going to collect my crystals now and let the zip lock bag open so the spice will dry cause I have only one pyrex conteiner to use for the tonight's pull.

Yeah, don't rush. keep it in the freezer for 2 days(my recommendation at least). If there are drops that don't evaporate quickly, it's most likely some water. Just take a piece of paper and touch the drop with the paper to absorb it.

Is it supose to be so sticky or it's just because it has to dry more to bone dry?

Nice result. Let it dry for 24-48 hours in open air.
It should not be sticky.
But it can be waxy when squeezed between fingers.
