Started Dec.14

pic 1 - all the supplies involved. (1/2 kilo of Mimosa, pickling lime, naptha, baster, pyrex baking dish, vinegar, etc....)
pic 2 - mimosa mixed with the vinegar and boiling water
pic 3 - pickling lime headed into the mix
pic 4 - lime going into the mix
pic 5 - after mixing half of the lime things got a little thick... make sure to mix thoroughly
pic 6 - everything mixed now giving naptha a hot bath
pic 7 - first pull going in the freezer
pic 8,9,10 - first pull out of the freezer... first yields
pic 11- second pull going into the freezer
pic 12,13,14 - second pull out of the freezer...


I got my first pull out of the freezer after 24 hours. I sat the container in front of a slightly opened window then I sat a fan nearby. I let the fan blow indirectly towards the window…. Within 3-4 hours whatever amount naptha that was left in the container had evaporated and the smell was gone. I then scrapped the container for the precious spice and put it away for storage. First pull yielded ~600mg… I feel as though the naptha wasn’t warm enough on the first one and I didn’t stir the goo and naptha well enough for a nice full resolve…. I’m still very happy with the end product though. Pure and fluffy white crystals… looks really good. Q21Q21’s tek works like a charm and I’m a COMPLETE N00B when it comes to stuff like this so I would like to thank Q21Q21’s tek for being so easy to a “nincompoop” like myself.



I can already tell the difference between the first pull and the second…. I reused my solvent but what I did was get some water that was almost to a boil… carefully poured the naptha from the first pull into a glass jar and then I let the water that I had almost boiled, cool for like 3 minutes. It was still pretty warm so I took the pot off the isle and then I sat the glass jar with the naptha in it inside the pot. This warmed the naptha up better than the first time (be careful though… when sitting the jar in the pot with the lid on it because these are HEATED NAPTHA FUMES THAT ARE TRAPPED INSIDE THE JAR!!!! So be sure to open the lid every few minutes to release the build up, after ten minutes or so your solvent should be good to go)… I could immediately tell the difference (this pull picked up WAY more spic). After mixing, I sat this pull into the freezer and within 3 hours I could see a “spice ocean”… white dust floating EVERYWHERE. I’ma let this pull sit for 48 hours (or until naptha isn’t cloudy)… then I’ma do 2-3 more pulls over the next few days.

The final weight on the second pull was ~200-300 more mg than the first pull… pure fluff. SNOW CRYSTALS GALORE. I kept the second pull in the freezer for around 60 hours actually (had things going on and people over so I didn’t want to bust out a pyrex baking dish with little white crystals all through it.. ) but after the naptha evaporated and the smell was gone I quickly scraped the spice and wowwww is it pure! Put the third pull in the freezer… this time I added a bit of new naptha with the old solvent and it is still pulling like crazy… little mountains of spice are forming all throughout the dish…. Will probably pull this around the same time of the second pull. I’m guessing 3 more pulls should do the trick but who knows with this stuff.

Update - Got a total of 5 really good pulls from this. I would say the yield was close to 3.5 grams... I do have a scale on hand but couldn't be bothered to measure every spec that fell from the pyrex dish (plus it's not a mg scale so I got to invest in getting one of those)... on my next extraction I will be sure to be more thorough with my research.

P.S. I have a question for some experienced psychonauts... I have this leftover mimosa that isn't pulling anymore DMT.. I was wondering if there was a way I could get the other active alkaloids out of this before flushing it down the toilet....

I love this tek. The only downside is that it is not very naphtha efficient, but that is solved with crumbly consistency. Thanks for your report.

Thanks for the reply I'm actually concerned for safety when it comes to uploading pics... I was thinking it was safer to upload through the nexus... is there anyway I can downsize them through this site? Or are there some anonymous pic uploading sites?

It's like giving some type of water filtering technology to a third world company for the price of peanuts... truly a revelation... sooo soo easy.. can't wait to get my second extraction under my belt. Saving up now for my second batch of the beautiful Mimosa... might shoot for a whole kilo this time.

let me get this right..you did that tek with 500g? getting the consistency is hard with 100g, getting the lime to get mixed without stuff going everywhere. i was gonna ask Q2121 if the crumbly meant like modeling clay or like peat moss. its realy hard to get form to dry to crumbly without going to clay accidentally. I just hope the CAL was good lime, at least when i get home i will have ph papers that came in the mail. Mrs wages i can get onlne for cheap but i will have to buy 4 lbs to make it worth it.
I did naptha first and then limonene after and FASIed. there is a guy on ebay you can buy quart or gallon. You probably would want to go after those others on a new batch though.

Yeah I did it with 500 grams and I'm telling you it was a workout from hell along with a slight mess. I just recently did another extraction and this time I used just 250 grams... it was a lot more manageable so I'll probably be doing 250 grams from now on. I'm gonna try the limonene method also.... as far as consistency goes I go for the muddy/slight brownie mix consistency and it hasn't failed me once. I even had some of my mixture mistaken for brownie mix by some friends who came over unannounced... but they didn't suspect anything (thank God).

@Mitakuye Well I don't know for sure but I'd say all in all I got close to 4.5 maybe 5 grams.... but I'd actually recommend doing q21q21's tek at 250 grams root mix at a time because to me it seemed like at this manageable size you pull a little bit more spice (compared to 500 grams) in each pull for some reason.... i'm guessing the naphtha got to a lot more of the root bark mix compared to the 500 grams.
