Ok so I'm pretty nervous about doing this for the first time. I just have these dumb delusions that there might be something bad about doing this. Like if it's true that DMT is released when you die then maybe we're not supposed to experience it till then. Or what if like I do it and then when I die some entity is like you used the spice, you're in trouble or something haha. I also feel like maybe this is a temptation that we're supposed to resist. Stupid christianity type thoughts in my head. You can take the boy out of christianity but you can't take the christianity out of the boy. I feel like these feelings are kind of backed up by misinformation because when I learn more facts I feel a bit better about doing it but I still haven't taken the plunge.
Idk what exactly I'm looking for here. Maybe just some reassurance that my soul isn't going to be damned for doing this haha.

Bad is a human concept.
Spice is intense.
It's only bad if you think it is bad. You'll be fine ;]

Here's my 2 cents on the situation. For about 4 years straight I attended a music festival that would have 5-7 festivals at the same venue every year. What's unique about the venue is the band who headlined every festival owned the campground, therefore it was private property. This meant that there were NO cops present. They had private security but they were really lax and would only break up fights. So what was created was a playground in which people could buy, sell, and consume drugs freely. Without any worries whatsoever. The festival wasn't that big but could draw upwards of 7000 people. You could literally find any drug and not have to worry about getting busted. To top it all off the festival was located in a small heavily wooded valley that had a beautiful river running through. The campground was literally surrounded by government protected national forests.Sounds too good to be true right? Well it was, as a year and a half ago the FBI, DEA, and IRS raided the festival.
Anyway the point of this story is that there were large amounts of DMT being sold, bought and consumed. I'd ask friends that attended the festivals about DMT. I was told that I shouldn't buy it, it should be given to me, and on several occasions I had it offered to me for free but I declined due to anxiety.
Interestingly enough, someone there had warned me that once you more or less "achieve enlightenment" by use of dmt there was no going back. And he insinuated that he had regretted achieving enlightenment through drugs and that it could be obtained without the use of psychoactive drugs. I don't remember his exact words, but he made it seem almost as if he had cheated, or "took the easy way out" for lack of a better term. I believe too that he claimed that entities looked down upon reaching these states of enlightenment through drug use. I personally don't have much experience w DMT. The one time I got some I went down to the river with a friend and my girlfriend at the time. We had been drinking and smoking weed all night, and in this state I was less afraid to try it, but still to nervous to go all the way. I sprinkled some on top a bowl of weed and took a small hit that I didn't hold for long due to fear and anxiety. From the very small dose I did however experience kaleidoscope-like patterns while my eyes were closed. I still wish to experience a breakthrough, but im on the fence... What if some irreversible enlightenment is achieved? I fear the implications on my soul. Hopefully an experienced "traveler" could enlighten me as well as our friend Auto and ease our fears

there are no easy ways and taking DMT is certainly not easy... DMT is a shortcut in a sense ... but only if you are ready for it its good that you do what feels right for you as there are many viable spiritual paths which fit personal factors blessed be all forms of intelligence

You guys are looking to far into it. DMT does not have an agenda. The entities don't punish you for "cheating". You just have good experiences and bad experiences and strange experiences. It's up to you how you use them and integrate them into your daily life. The Earth It spins and shakes It spits you out It knows your name

^ yes exactly true. Another thing that makes me think is how people say "you don't find the spice, the spice finds you" and honestly I find some truth in that. But if that's true then I don't understand why it finds some people and not others. It had been offered to me once a couple years ago but I declined because that was before I really knew much about it. Then I acquired the mhrb from someone because I was buying something else that was only $6 and I was paying with a gift card. The minimum amount you could put on it was $20 and this person was also selling mhrb for $15/100g so he gave it to me for $14.
That "How real is DMT" thread also had me thinking. I'd kind of feel better about doing it if it wasn't real.
This is kind of stupid but I always see certain numbers in places. Like I see 28 (my birth date) in oddly significant places all the time. I also see 33 in places and I feel like it has a kind of malevolence. I also see 42 a lot which is the answer to the universe haha, it's also 14*3 and 28 is 14*2. I've been seeing a lot of 33s since I did the extraction and I feel like it's a bad omen or something. I saw an episode of Through the Wormhole the other day that talked about the likely existence of the collective unconscious and how we can influence random numbers so maybe my feelings have been influencing my seeing these numbers rather than them being shown to me. Who knows though they could be totally insignificant and I'm sure some people here would think so. I'm probably just noticing the 33s more because of my feelings on this but the 28s really do show up a lot. I'd say 99% of the films I've watched in the past few years have a scene starting with a 28 in the center of the frame. Or there's 528hz or 28 grams in an ounce etc. I'm probably sounding nuts now hahaha
@gory Yea you're probably right. I do tend to look too deep into things as you can probably tell lol

My wife does the same thing with the number 342. Every time he sees it she points it out and says it follows her. I'm just more of a science minded individual. We live in a time dominated by numbers so you are going to see certain ones pop up every so often and maybe there was some time when something important happened and at the same time you saw or somehow subconsciously associated that event with that number. After a while the event fades out of your short term memory but the number strikes a note with you every time you come across it. I dunno, that just makes sense to me. But about the DMT, I've haven't done it a lot but I do have some experience under my belt. I still get nervous about it. My hands get shaky and my heart start pumping just from weighing it out. I've hit a block and I can't seem toget past it. I don't know why. I'm not afraid. I just get so nervous. I finally made an attempt after about a month break and just did a warm up dose of 17 mg and ended up chickening out of the bigger doses. I have some harmalas coming so I'm going to try them sublingually and possibly orally to try and smooth out the edges for me to help me get back into it. Another thing holding me back is that I don't find tripping in my house that great. It's fine for mushrooms, but when it comes to DMT it's almost creepy. I want to try smoking in nature but it's January so I'm waiting for warmer weather. I'm anxious to go at it again but I'm patient enough to wait for te right time. Idk what exactly I'm looking for here. Maybe just some reassurance that my soul isn't going to be damned for doing this haha. DMT works on the living brain. Who knows what you'll experience when you die, maybe nothing at all. Its not known whether DMT is released when we die thats just speculation. What we do know is that DMT works on a healthy living brain. You have the opportunity to experience DMT now while you're alive. Why pass that up? Because of irrational fears and beliefs? What if one of the reasons for being alive is to have the chance to experience these things? Maybe it's only possible to have this experience while you're alive. Maybe its the social and religious pressures to fear and avoid these experiences that we're really suppose to resist? As for whether its "cheating" your way to enlightenment, how is that possible? There isn't any correct path to enlightenment, you either achieve it or you don't and even then did you really? This is life you can't cheat in this game!! DMT is for the living not the dead. Its a LIFE experience! Its the MeICNU

You have to be careful of applying human labels and belief Systems to this type of experience . I recommend changing the perspective about it. You must try to believe It's good and positive even if it may not always feel That way. I see the dmt experience as an amazing natural phenomenon, A wonder of the world . It can be anything you decide it to be. It's not always warm and fuzzy but worth the trouble. Good and bad labels have no real relevence in this domain. Have no or minimal expectation , I know its hard not to Have expectation especially reading all the amazing stories On nexus . Your experience will be unique to you ,, take it as it comes Forget this breakthrough everyone's always talking about . When the time us right it will happen . Focus on set and setting working with this stuff is an evolutionary Process and deeply personal. Fear is a natural part Of this process. The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible. Arthur C. Clarke http://vimeo.com/32001208

I have never done dmt, I must admit my butthole starts to pucker at the thought of tripping. There are other fears of not remembering to put the lighter/pipe down after smoking but those are understandable. I was wonder if one can gently work themselves into a dmt trip with several tries without going full blast on first try. For example let's say one does 5mg and then feels out the bodyload and then waits and tries 10mg etc. etc. How long do you have to wait before trying again? I hear there are not any tolerance issues so you could go right away, correct? Also it seems to me like dmt takes you on a whirlwind ride and you have to make sense of what it means to you when you get back. Whereas tryptamines seem to peel layers off you and show you what needs to be seen through in a loving manner, seems like tryps are alot easier to understand and integrate. bindu wrote:nothing to fear if you are careful in every aspect

Dimethyl tryptamine Yes dmt is a tryp but I should have said "milder" tryps like shrooms or 4-aco-dmt. How long should one wait between dmt trips/tries? Just as a general principle. 1 hour?

From my experience you can separate them by about 30 min increments and still have a pretty decent trip the 2nd time around (never tried more than 2 times in a row), but since you'll be increasing dosage it should work pretty well; however ask yourself how much you want to push your brain in one day. Edit: Just used some tonight and felt no tolerance built up with 15 to 20 minute breaks (using actual doses and remainders of others' doses around 5 or so times). You shouldn't have any problem with a build up of tolerance. “Recognize that the very molecules that make up your body, the atoms that construct the molecules, are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the galaxy, enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life. So that we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically and to the rest of the universe atomically. That’s kinda cool! That makes me smile and I actually feel quite large at the end of that. It’s not that we are better than the universe, we are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us.” ― Neil deGrasse Tyson

The best thing you can do is meditate on it, prepare, and delve into the experience (though responsibly I must say). “Recognize that the very molecules that make up your body, the atoms that construct the molecules, are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the galaxy, enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life.
