Excellent photos, Icehouse. I went to Guatemala many years ago, but never made it to TIKAL. Although have seen Chitchen Itza in Mexico, etc, etc,,. I guess what makes Tikal special is it's remoteness, and the jungle scene. Is that you in the last photo with Olympus mon?, and the Lady?..hee hee, i'm nosey!!Cool

I got news for ya, There were very few tourists at all, all three days we were there. In fact there were so few tourists that it was very easy to sit down where ever you felt like it and blast through into hyperspace! I can tell you that both olympus mon and I both blasted off more than once from the top of temple VII wich is a mighty pyramid. It was EPIC!

Tikal is extremely isolated wich I believe cuts down on the tourists.

Sweet pics.

Absolutely loved Tikal. It looks like they've cleared some of the jungle and brush away from the major templos since I was there in the early 90's. Must have been nice to spice journey there. We only had some san ysidro mushrooms we collected in Chiapas (they definitely perked up our multiple visits to Agua Azul, Palenque and other lovely sites).

Funny though, as much as I loved Tikal... I could barely stand Las Flores. The place should be lovely, and even has a lake in the middle of the Peten... but (at least back then) the place was a depressing hell hole. It was actually nicer to camp in the jungle. As much as we wanted to stay a bit longer, the accommodations in Flores were so horrible we decided to beat a retreat to Belize. A little fresh Caribbean air never hurt anyone.

Thanks for those pics. Brings a flood of memory with them.

Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha

Ditto, I am totally blown away, guys! I rejoice in your good fortune and the wonderful experience you had imbibing Spice in such an exotic power spot. Just one question... do you feel that smoking DMT at the apex of the pyramid enhanced the high? You know, was it any different than having a breakthrough experience in your living room?

I my own experiences, it does amplify the level of consciousness ones rises to, exponentially. Although, I have never had such an epiphany at a man-made site (obviously, seated on a natural power spot). During Harmonic Convergence, August 17th & 18th of 1987, I journeyed through a Vision Quest upon Cantilever Rock. This natural phenomena is located in Underhill, Vermont.

Dowsers from around the world have confirmed, amongst themselves, that there are 5 ley lines converging at this exact point. All I know is that the place is buzzing with a palpable energy, almost like standing beneath electric power lines. The Rock is 33 feet long and perfectly paralleled to the ground. Tapering from 10 feet at the base to 2 feet, at the tip of the horizontal obelisk.

Anyway, I hiked up there with 2 gallons of spring water, my drum, some kind bud and 1/2 OZ of potent shrooms. I had been fasting for 2 days on water and was ripe for an exceptional experience. Needless to say, I was totally shattered by the force of the embrace. I was so high, I was unable to figure out how to climb down form the spot, until the late into the 2nd afternoon! Too high? I agree with Terrance, if you haven't felt so freaked-out that you probably did too much... you didn't do enough. Laughing

Not trying to hijack your lovely thread, folks, I just wondered if this facilitated a profound and life changing epiphany? Thank you, so much, for sharing these wonderful images. I am getting sky high just looking at them!!!
