as a soldier one is at risk of an instantaneous case of severe lead poisoning, not to mention suicide bombers and IEDs along with countless other risks like catching an RPG with ones teeth - sounds kinda stressful to me - i dont think anyone has the right to tell a soldier what he can/cant do to relieve combat stress on HIS spare time after a hard day of military combat
That has always been my sound opinion... There are plenty of disastrous things that can happen to a soldier (Being one deployed in a combat environment right now, i speak from experience...) Preventing, or imposing a prohibition of a substance really only makes him more curious about it from my experience. This unfortunately leads soldier's to experiment with substances that give quick reliable highs that get out of the system in a relatively short time frame. The damage that most of these aforementioned substances deal the body never comes into the mind set, where as marijuana takes 13 to 40 some days to exit the system depending on usage habits and weight. But has no known negative lasting side effects on the body.
