So I spent some time checking out the Hyperspace Lexicon material, including the work thread and the current agreed definitions. Amazing stuff- this strikes me as being a very worthwhile project. Unfortunately the topic had been idling for a while... Let's try to get artists and musicians involved- I believe that visual and sonic art provide tools for bringing back impressions of hyperspatial experiences that words can't touch. Anyway... It would be amazing to see some visual language elements pinned down and defined...

I am both an artist and a musician. I firmly believe that humans will never be capable of reproducing hyperspace until:
They develop the technology to download/display mental feedback that accepts hyperspatial octaves.
I really, really, don't think human beings are capable of this until this happens. They can make all the art and all the music they want to, but they should keep in mind they are making a mere reflection. Anyone who attempts to actually depict, is really just mining fragments of personal memories that gets filtered over and over again.
I've never seen a single piece of art or music that even really comes close. I love art that tries though, don't get me wrong. I suppose I am just picky...
Some people like to believe that certain images and things look like hyperspace to them, I like to think those people haven't smoked enough DMT.
Anyway, those are my thoughts on all of this.

We're getting close.... baby steps but we're getting there though... 1% of reality is within our plane of existence. What we feel... what we see... what we hear... what we "think" we know... The other 99% percent of reality can only be shown to us through DMT. This 99% lies within the "Realm of the Unknowns". We can only experience FULL reality when we leave this vessel, our bodies. DMT gives us a taste of this full reality... the universal knowledge is given to us by the beings who call "hyperspace" their home. When in hyperspace there is no "self" but instead this self is replaced with pure and raw energy. ENERGY CAN NOT BE DESTROYED, ONLY TRANSFERRED OR TRANSFORMED! So when you have that "ego-death" during a breakthrough trip, don't fret, you are not being destroyed but yet..... YOU ARE BEING TRANSFORMED.
I LOVE YOU, RESPECT YOU AND I THANK YOU... Dimethyltryptamine ... for showing me the 99% of reality that I would never have experienced in everyday life.

I am open minded, but those 2 videos didn't even come close.
See, hyperspace isn't formatted for a video. Not until you interface the hyperspatial mind will it be truly formatted, and even then, you are only getting a mere fraction of the total experience. A true depiction is metabolization.
I think a lot of our western culture is tainted by the "observation" aspects taught to us by school and television and things like that. I don't think we are supposed to sit back and watch hyperspace like a lot of people think and do. For me it's completely immersive, responsive, and interactive, which is what leads me to that belief.

A true depiction is metabolization. I totally agree... maybe my wording of saying "we're getting close" was a bit of a reach but I also don't underestimate the minds that we possess and what we are capable of.... even if we had machines that could represent the visual aspect of hyperspace we still wouldn't have a TOTAL picture.... i agree that it would still be just a fraction of the total experience like you said... Love the quote "hyperspace isn't formatted for a video"... bout to quote you in the quote thread! 1% of reality is within our plane of existence. You say, "I live art that tries"... I guess what I'm getting at here is, let's try some more, and perhaps communicate more specifically about the graphic elements that we are able to glean from our experiences... and you are right, by definition, hyperspatial elements cannot be directly translated to 2D or 3D art... But we can "collapse" our visions into approximations that at least point in the right direction.
For all the verbal discussion going on about people's observations, I think a visual approach deserves more of an effort.

Check the drawings of Majapanix, a member here, he made some trip reports with images he drew about his hyperspacial experiences, some quite good stuff.. Maybe if you pm him, he would be interested in the project? As others said, hyperspace is impossible to draw, but hey, why not try, at least its a good artistic rendering that might strike a familiar chord for travelers who look at it, and it will be nice to appreciate aesthetically
