all I was able to get from a quite disappointing batch of MHRB is a thin layer of oily residue after evaporation (freeze precip did not work well) which I presume to be mostly DMT oxide along with some jungle alkaloids, judging by the smell and by the fact pure hexane was used to extract. I'm staying with my original plan to give changa a try.

It might be a silly question but I haven't been able to find a clear answer. Will acetone work well to dissolve DMT oxide in order to infuse the herb? It's difficult to tell the activity of what I have without a bioassay.

Yes it will dissolve just fine... but anyways it might be if you just keep scrapping/rescrapping, the oil will crystallize, it could be just dmt that hasnt crystallized yet, it might be NMT content makes it crystallize with more difficulty, it might be some plant oils are coating it..

You could try recrystallizing or just insisting on drying/rescrapping to let crystallize, or you could indeed infuse herbs. Anyways gotta go

I recommend drawing lines into the liquidy redissolved DMT and it will harden quickly. This is at least the case when I redissolve to remove any naphtha residues.

I already performed a carbonate wash in the pulled solvent before trying to freeze precipitate (and failing) and the solvent was chemical grade, so whatever I have there comes from the MHRB. Will try that to speed up the drying process, thank you.

strange thing this -
i made 20mg of dmt-n-oxide from the purest spice using hydrogen peroxide
it was not acetone soluble - it was fully water soluble
iv had oils that look similar that were acetone soluble
i found dmt-n-oxide smells of burning plastic when vaped and i find the oils just flatout reak when vaped
i couldnt manage to smoke more than 3mg without choking where usualy via the same vaping tek i can take about 25-30mg just fine per puff

Well, I already dissolved in acetone. Now evaporating with a pinch of mullein and passion flower.

There was a tiny lump of grey waxy goo with a curious smell definitely not akin to mothballs. That bit wouldn't dissolve, so I presumed it would be plant oils and disposed of it. It's in moments like these when I wish I had more experience extracting, or I wish I fully trusted my MHRB supplier.

Dosing will be quite imprecise, but I will assay it, so I appreciate your experience because if it turns out to be really unpleasant I can remember your post, shrug and try again with another supplier, instead swearing off extracting
