Iv had my shellite(non polar solvent) in the freezer for more than a week. It has evaporated less than a centimetre. there was heaps of floating white cloudy crystal looking things in it. One of the extraction teks said to take it out of the freezer after 48 hours and pour off the shellite and save the floaters, then evaporate any excess shellite under a fan.
I tried this. But almost as soon as i strained out the floaters they turned back into a liquid, and went through the strainer. So im back where i started.. Im pretty confused right now..
Edit: also, my solvent is in a plastic container, could this be the problem? It sounds like the crystals are meant to stick to the sides of the dish. Maybe using plastic is preventing this? Or maybe theres no dmt in my solvent at all Sad, but then what are all the floaty white lumps/crystals?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Forget the fan. Here's what you wanna do. Pour off the shellite through a coffee filter. Any floating DMT will be caught in the filter for you to easily scrape up when it after it sits to dry. After you've poured off absolutely as much shellite as you can, I would put the container back in the freezer, just to be on the safe side so things don't start melting in a hurry. Leave it in there for another 5 minutes, take the container out and find something that you can lean one of the sides on so that it's tilted on its side. This will allow all the excess shellite to run off to one corner of the container and you can pour it off, and let it continue to dry a bit more. Once you don't smell the shellite anymore, it's time to scrape that crystal goodness up.
