scientific articles on psychedelics

all seems to be pretty positive about long term effects, including studies with teenagers using regularly in ayahuasca religions in Dreamland

I´m wondering how it`s about the dmt-smoke, are there any studies how it might effect the lungs ?
i nearly never reognized the smoke pretty much at all. But could it be harmfull for the lungs anyway ?

I guess there are no studies about dmt long term use, considering the dmt is smoked......

more research needs to be done..

The UDV Study might be interesting for you, it was done by J.C. Callaway.

Here is a link, but there is more out...

"Some of the samples collected during the Hoasca Project were blood platelets
(thrombocytes) for receptor binding studies with serotonergic ligands, and
initial results concerning platelet serotonin uptake sites have already been
published (Callaway et al. 1994)."

Proper vaporization prevents degradation of spice into other potentially problamatic combustion by products. That tends to be whats wrong with smoke in general. In other words it should not be a concern unless one smokes it all the time.
