A few questions about hppd. I know its rare for people to acutly have true hppd but I was wondering if someone was more likely to get it after a really bad trip ? Anyway at night if ive been toking up and feeling abit blazed, places at night that look pitch black look like they are in a blue or dark purple haze. this is only when a smoke and at night but it seems to put a haze on my vision, or change the way i perceive some colors. I didnt notice this untill after I had a really bad shroom trip where i had ego death and being reborn, all that fun stuff. This has kinda been to the point where i have acutly thought their were cops or something way up the road.

I can relate with the colored haze. Smoking a lot of weed had always had the ability to do that for me before I took any psychedelics, but after touching DMT for a bit, it became the case that it would start happening almost every time I smoke, and needed less weed. I get the same colorful haze when I wake up from dreaming. Also, I don't just see it in the dark, though that is the easiest way to see it and induce it.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily HDDP. I find the term HDDP to be really vague, as people get visual distortions all the time who have never touched a drug in their life.

Even before I ever used psychs I used to get sort of purple/blue waves come into my vision and occasionally still do. This happens specially at night and is more prominent after smoking a few bongs or spliffs of MJ. If anything you'll just get used to it. Try not to let it worry you.

You honestly just sound stoned. Cannabinoids are powerful things.

I agree with the above... I discovered pretty quickly that using psychedelics GREATLY increased the psychedelic-ness of weed. Getting really blazed has forever turned from a muzzy intoxication into an epic mini-trip, which IMO isn't a bad thing in the least.

BananaForeskin, I can relate. Just back from one of those mini trips right now. Inhaled the wonderful green stuff expecting a trip to lala-land and back, what I got was a psychedelic onslaught forcing me to accept the impermanence of all things... Happy right now, but yes, the cannabinoids definately have the potential to catch one off guard.

Cannabis is a well known weak psychedelic. Under the right (pre-)conditions you can have a full blown out of body experience / trip. It's known to increase effects / lengthen the trips of other psychedelics. I wouldn't worry about it, it's just being blazed. Perhaps you're more aware of it since you started doing psychedelics.

Not something I really worry about. just wondering about it. Like said above i think with the dmt and other psychs weed has become a little more trippy. either way just wondering if anyone else had the haze effects. Im about to stop weed for awhile anyway so i guess we will see how that goes.

Just wanted to point out that, while it is true that it's a psychedelic, it's not a very reliable one. If you do have an OBE from it, there generally is more fear and less control, especially with high doses. It also messes with your memory so even if you have an OBE, it isn't likely you'll remember most of it.

rsmokes- Sorry I can't answer your question but I would like to offer you some advice: Be careful with marijuana. If you find yourself over-indulging, I would recommend cutting way back on the weed or stopping altogether as it is addictive and tends to suck up the majority of one's available attention and energy. Plus it messes with your memory, killing your dream recall (which is important for subconscious communication).

I won't get into it's other numerous negative attributes as this would be off topic, I just wanted to offer you some words of caution from a someone that just quit a 15 year daily marijuana habit. I literally feel like a new person and my relationships with my wife and family are better than ever. Not saying the weed was the underlying cause of my problems, but it slowly became my main crutch/escape mechanism and source of energy/attention drain so that I didn't have the energy or motivation to deal with my underlying problems.
