I have been using this sacred drink for 3 few years. I usually will relax before drinking then lay-down and meditate as the effects come one. I prefer to be laying down though in the dark wrapped in blankets (haha). I tend to be ritualistic when it comes to the drink. I was just curious about what some you guys do after you consume it and what you find is best for you. Sometimes I listen to music, usually something native sounding from flutes to chants. Every now and then I will go for a walk and be active a few times in social settings. So whats your favorite Aya preferences? I believe your setting has a large impact on your experiences what do you guys think?

Just like you, silence and darkness is what i prefer most. I always want to have some fruit and fruitjuice at hand and also a thermocan of tea and some salty italian biscuits called scrotchi´s. At the come-down i realy need some food in my stomach, usually.

Although i like to lay on a matras in the dark, i also have taken ayahuasca in the woods a couple of times. That was definately an adventure. Sort of a vision-quest...just going in the direction my instinct was telling me to go, in the middle of the night.
But that´s realy something for when it´s summer, and i´m living on the northern hemnisphere.

Walking in the woods at night on Aya? That must of been epic.

I usually like to be wrapped up in blankets as well, but I prefer for natural sunlight to be shining in my house. Sometimes I listen to music, sometimes not. It really depends on the vibe of the experience and if I'm doing it with someone or not. I don't seem to have the same preference for music on aya as most people, but most people who've drunk with me tend to like my music selection. I usually try and keep the aya down for an hour and then purge in order to relieve the nausea. After purging, I have the GVG preloaded to quickly knock things up a couple dozen levels. I have also gone out for walks. It usually works best if the nausea has already been relieved. In some rare occasions I've found myself in social settings, but most often, it's just myself or my brother and I in my living room or bedroom. Very often it's reclining or laying immobile for extended periods of time where the will power to budge is often asking for way too much (unless it involves a mad dash to the toilet to purge. I've never not made it, but I've come damn close to missing).
