hey all just been reading up about iboga flood doses and was wondering if people could share their experiences? read a number of reports from people saying they found it to be around a similar intensity to ayahuasca and often more intense

reports? Very happy

Oh, it´s definately more intense. Not nicer though. Ayahuasca is definately much more pleasant.
Iboga has some simmilarity´s with ayahuasca but it goes much deeper. It takes you beyond what ayahuasca is capable of (at least, most of the brews we in the west are familiar with).

Iboga also has a darker character though, wich mostly has to do with the fact that it also numbs the mind somewhat...you are aware that you are tripping, but it can become very difficult to distinguish reality from hallucinations. You shouldn´t do it without someone to watch over you.

Iboga is a psychedelic mount everest...don´t underestimate it´s power. Safety is a big and serious issue when you consider taking iboga, unlike with ayahuasca where risks are often being exagerated. Taking iboga unprepared or not following safety guidelines is very risky. Some people have died and more people nearly have died because of it.

sounds epic to say the least. i have not tried ayahuasca yet, im planning to do so over in the amazon next year. sounds like i should have a few ayahuasca sessions under my belt before thinking about this one.
fascinating culture behind it too ...im really intrigued by african forms of shamanism at the moment ... the san bushmen are amazing the way they could enter these states by rhythmic dance, and end up in highly visionary states of transformation
apparently the noses of the dancers often bled and when that nose blood was wiped onto somebody else it could induce them into the visionary state too

currently having my first deep mescal trip... so beautiful. what a wise, gentle and kind teacher

Damn well one of the most beautiful experiences of life is a flood dose of ibogaine, surpassing ayahuasca & LSD in its rejuvenative ability. Not being able to move for hours gives you either claustrophobia if you are of that temperament or extreme comfort. I alternated between the two, primarily leaning towards comfort. With an MAOI (5-7g ground syrian rue) in the mix it tended toward claustrophobia presumably due to the SSRI-MAOI interaction between iboga and rue alkaloids.

I agree with "iboga is a psychedelic mount everest" and this is coming from someone who's taken 60-90g MHRB in one hit (ravaged by the light is the best way I can sum that one up).

I would strongly disrecommend such combinations like rue-iboga. It could easily kill you. I´m not joking.

Yeah I'm lucky not to. I felt pretty fine but during the trip I did think "holy crap this could really be my last day on Earth". The iboga told me it wasn't Smile
