Hey Folks,

With The Traveler's blessings and encouragement, I am formatting a simple poll for the name of the old Esoteric subforum, even though, Through The Looking Glass is actually kinda nice. Cool

So, I uploaded some random suggestions (the first two choices being the former and latter titles) BUT... welcome both, participation in the poll and additional comments or respectful replies. What does everyone think?

This is the third time I voted. Am I going to have to vote again?

You do not have to see alike, feel alike or even think alike in order spiritually to be alike

I really like through the looking glass, it seems more an all encompassing title than any of the others. Sounds much more classy also.

There are two polls, one for the OLD name and one for the EXTRA subforum name. Smile

Agreed, as well as a bit of fun and adventure, along with the psychedelic journey? Wink

My feeling was that for a SINGLE forum, Esoteric might have been better due to its embracing of both TTLG subjects and Regio-Spiritual matter.

But since we are adding a spiritual subforum, I think TTLG should stay as well. It provides a contrast that Spiritual and Esoteric would not. TTLG is also more fantastic than Twilight Zone, X-Files, Outer Limits, or Fringe... all titles that had occurred to me.

Anyway, thanks for taking the initiative. The 2 subforum model will be better IMO.

"Curiouser and curiouser..." ~ Alice

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha

Since the deadline has passed in this one too... Pleased

So we will keep the name the same as it was for the OLD subforum (Through the Looking-Glass)?

Kind regards,

The Traveler

Absolutely! Your ides was reaffirmed by the will of the people. Nice. I bet it gets more traffic than it used to, with such a playful and introspective title? Cool

How about, Down the Rabbit Hole?

About the same as looking glass, but a little more tuned into where the topics can lead...
What, you ask, was the beginning of it all?
And it is this...

Existence that multiplied itself
For sheer delight of being
And plunged into numberless trillions of forms
So that it might
Find
Itself
Innumerably.
-Sri Aubobindo

Saidin is a fictional character, and only exists in the collective unconscious. Therefore, we both do and do not exist. Everything is made up as we go along, and none of it is real.
