syringes, basters, and seperatory funnels are best yes. if you're willing to sacrifice a jug, let it separate up side down, poke a hole in the top and put a glove on and slowly drain out the bottom part by partially taking the lid off. just enough to where theres a steady flow and wait for all the bottom layer to go out. then pour it all out into a glass jar; let it settle, use the dropper to get what little is left at the bottom. and if you have to keep pouring from jar to jar until nothing is left on the bottom. it may take a bit longer than syringes etc. but that's what swim does w/out all those big syringes droppers etc.
