<3ers love them anyway.

And come on... this is the DMT Nexus! Just at least think back on yourself for reference... Our newbies are some of the most important people on the earth today, and it's time we treated them as such! These folk are seeking guidance, wisdom and like-minded company... and none of these things are easy to come by in this world... If they can't find it here at least, we're all pretty much screwed.

<3 MOAR!

???

Would you care to elaborate on this? Currently this post makes not much sense and it clutters the information available here.

Kind regards,

I am in a rush and neglected to switch accounts, I had a pm to respond to... (I'm in a rather conflicted headspace atm Laughing )

My apologies for not being straightforward, this thread is a commentary on the obvious attitude toward many of the newer or more fantastically-inclined minds, and the conflict that arises therefrom. It is a conflict I have taken part in, and by doing so have seen the error in the method.

My point is that divisive speech, no matter how relevant or well communicated, is still divisive in effect. It is only through compassionate effort to understand others' views that we can communicate with them in a manner that encourages mutual acceptance of viewpoints.

The more "scientific-minded" among us seek to lend an element of realistic equanimity to the fantastical musings of the new-age seekers we encounter so often... and those more mystical-minded members seek recognition of what they sense to be present in the universe, but cannot lend scientific credence to.

After all, scientific knowledge is the tool by which we determine what mystical wonders are worth exploring and how to explore them, and mystical wonder is the very thing that drives scientific progress forward and gives direction to its meaning, meaning to its direction. The scientific-minded can keep the crystal-gazers from going off the deep end of what actually is possible and present in our universe, and those more phenomenologically-inclined folk can keep the scientific-minded from thinking they actually know what's going on either. Wink I am reminded of that wonderfully wise quote by Albert Einstein...

On a practical note, if we reach out with love when forming our words, that love is transmitted to the listener. This isn't fantasy or metaphor, it is artistically and compassionately using the right half of our language centers when communicating. We all know the feeling we get when somebody divisively challenges our views, and we know that the results are about as pleasant as the feeling itself.

Instead, if we work together to bring ourselves into the light of common wisdom within a given inquiry, we all learn something. Teamwork makes the dream work, baby!

If you want to avoid confusing new members, here's a helpful suggestion: try not to post from multiple accounts or start cryptic, nonsensical threads.

I appreciate your sentiment Simon, but the 4chan lingo is too abtruse for this forum. Remember that we have members from many different countries and cultures. It is imperative that we communicate in a way that extends across these barriers, so that our good intentions can be understood by all.

Oh, settle down and cheer up... I don't plan to use this account anymore, I just had PM's to respond to like I said. You don't have to jump to and assume everyone's up to funny business.
