Thus far I have only experienced pure dmt. Soon though I should be able to make my own changa! Anyone want to make some suggestions based on their own experiences? I will probably make a 1:1 but figured I would give people the opportunity to change my mind.

I would get enough to brew some so you can drink it..drinking it is a more full experience IMO..when I smoke DMT(and it is rare these days as I like oral more) I always want to have some oral harmalas in me first.

A 1/1 mix is fine..but do you have caapi leaf? If you have vine for making changa you will want to extract the vine into a tincture and evap that onto some other leaf for the base. Smoking the woody vine is kinda harsh.
Long live the unwoke.

You can extract harmalas from your caapi vine and then use it for your changa. I used 100mg for 1g of changa and it was enough for me but some people suggest even more 200mg. to extract harmalas just look at gibrans2 thread here it is very easy to do. you should also make some 10x caapi leaf for your changa or at leas use normal leafs plus herbs you like as univers suggested. Here you can find some nice blends just for inspiration Smile

To clarify I did order caapi leaf, not the vine. Thanks for all the input I will certainly look into concentrating the harmalas to enhance the effects. Unfortunately my fiance is on an ssri and an ssrn (ssrn inhibit norepinephrine) so I think the addition of the harmalas will make the dmt dangerous for her to use. Also she is not capable of smoking the pure dmt as it is just to harsh for her and the taste makes her ill. I also ordered a blend containing wild dagga, blue lotus, and kratom. I don't know that the kratom will add anything to the experience so I will probably try the sandwich method before I make changa with that blend. If it is pleasant I will report back, otherwise I plan to use it for its stimulant like properties as I have narcolepsy and do not like using amphetamines or methylphenidate despite the fact that I have a prescription. I wish they could isolate the effects in LSD that keep you awake because I feel that it is much easier on the body than what is currently available as treatment for narcolepsy.

So it looks as if I will need caapi root as well if I want to add concentrated harmalas to the leaf, is this accurate or can i perform the same procedure on the leaves? I ordered an entire ounce of caapi so I have plenty to spare if this procedure will work on the leaves.

Clearly I have been reading way to much about way to many plants, I had vines pictured in my head, I swear! Also the tek that was linked uses 64g of vine in the extraction, with the leaves lower alkaloid content will 27 grams of leaf be enough material to enhance one gram of leaf? Should I just go ahead and order some vine as well?

it would appear that the leaves have a decent alkaloid content..
Quote:
Ott 1994 summarized Rivier & Lindgren 1972 as reporting:
0.05-0.83% total alkaloids in dried stems;
0.14-0.37% in the branches;
0.25-1.90% in the leaves;
0.61-1.95% in the roots and
0.91% in a lone sample of seeds.

i would say go for it, if it's not enough, you can always order vine afterwards

I use 20x leaf and it is a strong harmala base. 27g is certainly enough to enhance 1g.
