I am posting this info both to help those doing tests for separating and identifying substances from plants, as well as for general harm reduction for those that use RCs and other substances. Please test any compound one hasnt extracted oneself and is sure of what it is. These tests are easy to buy and use for any common person, check links on the bottom!

(This thread is being currently updated to adjust the reference sources and to add plenty of more info, stay in tune!)

Kind regards,

Ok Im making some major updates Smile

DMT entry has loads of new info (and so will many other substances when I have time to slowly update). A lot of info im adding now is coming from Trout's book, and soon from other books and files I recently acquired/found. All entries should soon enough have reference for their info, to make it reliable.

I am finding the references and linking them at the end, uploading the publication to the nexus or linking to full file, to make the work of others wanting to look at references much easier (we all know how hard sometimes it is finding some obscure references).

Eventually maybe we should check out alternative ways of linking the files so that we dont have any issues with copyrights.

Im trying to play a bit with formatting for easier reading but its a lot of silly manual work, so it takes a while.

..Another one (that was used in the 60s) is Silicotungustic acid..useful color changes were something noted in the 2001 NMT experiments (see Entheogenic Effects of NMT) , but there isn't a lot in literature on this aspect because, according to chemist, silicotungustic acid has been considered one of the best Quantitative estimate reagents, rather than qualitative..when to applied to solutions in test tubes the amount of cloudy precipitate seen gives a good idea of how much alkaloid is present (from 'hardly any' to 'a lot' )..and to an extent, by color, what class of alkaloid..i think this aspect could be exploited more..it is an easily available reagent
in the future i will try to post more information regarding it's color changes with different alkaloids..

EDIT: Something seems to be wrong below, I think I accidentaly changed mecke for marquis. 25I turns green with marquis, orange with mecke, not the other way around!

That's the results for 25I-NBOMe and 25C-NBOMe using different colorimetric reagents

25I-NBOMe
Mandelin: Yellow/green
Mecke: Yellow/dark green
Marquis: Red/orange
p-DMAB-TS (ehrlich with ferric chloride): No apparent reaction

25C-NBOMe
Mandelin: Yellow
Mecke: Orange
Marquis: No apparent reaction
p-DMAB-TS (ehrlich with ferric chloride): No apparent reaction

Excellent info - top thread! Would it be worth adding info on what the reagents are made of? I can easily add this here or as a new thread (if it's not here somewhere already).

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
