I'll have a full list for you when this christmas thing is over, i would like to attempt this [edit add: 1,000 times until i get it right Smile ]

So is there a tool to measure a solvent's polarity?

By the way I cannot believe associativum when he claims in Europe dcm and tolune are watched solvents, they are all over the place in canada and us, and corrent me if i'm wrong but it seems from their uses and the lack of viable alternatives that the carpentry and painting industries could not survive without them....i mean, what the fuck, not everything can be done with turpentine can it? Perhaps they are just not listing the ingredients.

Furthermore aren't their less border in Europe? You're trying to tell me the eastern bloc has a stringent 'watch list'??? Come on, i don't believe it, if anything they need their industries to me -more- competitive, they aren't going to hammer them by making 90% of their important chemicals hard to aquire just because of a couple of meth heads. At least.... i certainly hope the world hasn't come to that. If it has, good luck to every country except China who is too economically smart to screw their own asses!

Sorry for the rant, I get that bug once in a while hehehehe my elves have TEETH!!!!

SWIM knows for a fact that there is at least toluene mixed with methanol readily available in europe in hardware stores, in the paint solvent section, quite cheap... Just read the labels. but maybe it depends in the country too

(infundibulum posted a way to separate the methanol from toluene in another thread by mixing with water a few times, as the methanol will preffer the polar layer than the non-polar toluene layer)

They have specialized Products which have the desired solvents in them but among many other solvents n stuff , not simply usable pure DCM and Toluene solvents are watched , im quite sure of that , otherwise i coudve ordered them Pleased
Im not saying we dont have some chemical vendors who sell every chemical to everyone ... even piperazines and stuff . I feel they stay in business for too long ...

The most pure DCM i found at a paint supply was bound in Gel Form

The toluene methanol thing sounds good.

To be more specific Im from germany , its not the same laws all over europe ... not yet.
And Yeah , I sure could drive over to France or Spain , or the Chech republic ...
But ron asked about what one could get easily ... Pleased

Let's play

Name That Crystal!

Can you guess what these crystals are?

(NOTE: I did not take these pictures. I have no idea who did. But I know exactly what they are pictures of.)

Im voting that the top is the refined mescaline, and the bottom is the one using limonene?

swims had fumarate and freebase spice look like the first image - nothing looked like the second tho - perhaps its caus swim has no d-limonene.
here is when swims freebase spice looked like that - instead of drying his freeze precip xtals he disolved them in acetone and evapped -

here is when the fumarate looked similar cant see it so well in the pix tho

LLB and obliguhl, are both right. Both picks are mescaline.

The two pictures are from the same batch of crystals extracted using a d-limonene/calcium hydroxide based tech.

The first picture is from a section of the crystals near the center that was nearly pure mescaline.

The second picture is an impure portion near the perimeter of the same batch of crystals.

Can anyone guess what salt form they are?

No. It's not mescaline citrate or mescaline hydrochloride.

Going out on a limb here: Mescaline Acetate?

I'm familiar with the waxy quality of the acetate and see that those are crystals, but SWIM's freebased MHRB extractions dry like like that and they turn out waxy when scraped up.

Yes, it's mescaline acetate. That's SWIM's straight vinegar pull from d-limonene without any cleanup steps at all. The clear crystals are from the center and are mescaline acetate and are close to 95% pure. The amber stuff is mescaline acetate mixed with a few other alkaloids (which are also active) and is maybe 70-80% pure.

These are from San Pedro.

Mescaline acetate has a texture like that of freebase DMT, but a little more waxy. It looks a little hard and sharp in the photo, but when scraped up, it’s waxy texture is very apparent according to SWIM.

I think the photo of the impure crystals is the most beautiful. I like the play of colors.

EDIT: Nevermind Swim saw what he was looking for in the dmt handbook.

Swim didnt want to start a new thread over it and thought this would be a good place to ask. He was wondering if anybody had any naked eye pictures of dmt freebase that is "crystally" like fumarate, mabey synthed?
He asks this because a friend saw his freebase and asked why it was powdery and wasnt more crystalized because he has smoked some that was really good that looked more crystal like. Swim explained to him the difference between freebase and salt and that mabey he had salt. But it confused swim also because to his knowledge you cant smoke it in salt form. So he started to wonder if mabey his friend had some that was freebased but crystalized or mabey he had some that was made synthetically. So swim tried finding pictures of synthed dmt from a naked eye point of view, not under a microscope but couldnt find any. So here Iam. Razz
