Hoping to get into some Ayahuasca real soon. Just wondering. Whats the average trip time on Ayahuasca?

How much do you know about Ayahuasca? Because if you do not know the average time it seems like you've skipped doing proper research. I strongly suggest(and I believe many others will agree with me on this one) that you do extensive research on Ayahuasca. Start out by reading the Wiki here on the Nexus. Then see what Erowid has to offer and perhaps google a little bit around.

I understand that you may be eager to use Ayahuasca but remember that you are using a substance that will cause strong hallucinations. You do not just want to jump into that unprepared. Taking psychedelics require a form of mental preparation combined with taking in information on what you are using, how it works, why it works that way and what to expect. The more preparation you do, the better. It will arm you against being overwhelmed and trampled by the experience. My first psychedelic experience was truffles / mushrooms and our 3rd man joined in last minute and without preparing himself. He had quite a terrible time and I had to put my own trip aside several times to calm him down and make sure his trip was a happy one.

I'd recommend using gelatin in the final boiling. Get it down to half a cup. Then put in gelatin and let harden in fridge. The proteins will bind the tannins and stop the Australian whooping vomit that ensues otherwise. Trip time is like shrooms, but that's my metabolism.

Haven't even been on erowid for it yet. ooopps...... woulda answered my question before it was posted. Damn Stoners! Been using hallucinogens for about 10 yrs now. Mostly florida fresh mushies. Lots & Lots of mushies :-) Ever heard of eraser brain? been there way too many times. LoL! Fair share of MDMA. A few times on DMT. For sure ready for Ayahuasca. Sorry for bein a dumb@$$. It happens from time to time

It's all good GhettoHippie. Sometimes we need to be reminded about the simple things like the search feature and the wiki. I'm getting better at it all the time. Ayahausca is a beautiful medicine, but has the potential to give one a very difficult experience. Aya gives you what you need, not necessarily what you want. I spent a lot of time reading the reports on erowid and eventually came across the nexus here, which has been a great place to learn and share ideas.

The aya is unlike anything else and usually lasts around 4 hours. Could be more, could be less. I suppose it depends on dosage and such. I look forward to hearing anout your experience with the medicine.
