Yesterday me and my friend took half a hit of acid. The acid was just typical white on white blotter and the size of the strip I took was half a centimeter. I was kinda just looking for some mild introspection and some visuals if I was lucky. My friend got this, I did not.

Of course it was a mistake to try to get what I wanted from acid, and not what it would give me but during my peak I was confronted by the all knowing presence of "god". Knowledge was flooding into my mind and I reached a high state of enlightenment. My hallucinations were so profound that I found my closed eye visuals bleeding into my open eyes whether I wanted it to or not. It reminded me greatly of my DMT freebase experiences. I sat down in the woods and started to have an out of body experience, I could feel my spirit feet in front of my body and it freaked me out a bit. I have had such experiences before on freebase and acid but the intensity from half a hit got me a bit uneasy. I could also feel the presence of entities around me, something I have never felt on LSD.

I just wanted to ask, what other factors contribute to the type of experience you have besides the dosage since me and my friend consumed the same amount. And has anyone else had very DMT-like hyperspace trips on other substances? It was incredible and very profound and I feel better than ever today. My ego got a huge beating

Had the same thing happen to me before from a buddy who had liquid acid. It was very weird because 1 night I had taken 5 hits n had a rolling sensation type high which was great but then before a party I took just 1 hit n I have no idea why but I was in for a ride! It was almost overwhelming something that wasn't for a party.

Only thing I did different was drink the second time but the alcohol affects weren't there just a very very strong acid buzz which kept me up all night. Maybe I got a more pure hit? I have no idea but it was outta body experience as well as small open eye visuals n mad closed eyes visuals.

Anyone explain this?

OBE's aren't really dose related in my experience, they happen whenever they feel like happening

Sounds relatively similar, I think with acid you can get the psychedelic experience or you can get enhancement of everything. It's just whatever it gives you. Still from such a small dose I was very taken by surprise.

Interesting that you got such an intense experience from 1/2 a hit. That's awesome. I find a lot that when I open my eyes after they've been closed for a while my OEV's are way more intense. I love keeping my eyes closed on all hallucinogenics though. The craziest stuff happens in the mind... more so with DMT that with acid... but definitely works for both.

It is crazy and I agree that the closed eye visuals are the magic inside the mind and eyelids. The closed eye visuals I saw on this trip were incredibly complex for being lsd. I feel like the psychedelic experience is starting to become more hyperspace like no matter what method/drugs I use to achieve such states.

WOW that's absurd to me. I weigh like 118 pounds so that may be a factor too.

i'm also quite thin...i was about 118 - 120 when i tripped mad acid.

Having OBE's in the woods sounds a bit like a recipe for trouble if you ask me.
If it was public land, all it would've taken is one stray boy scout or bird watcher...
and your experience would've taken a serious nose dive.

As you said, the psychedelic experience is not always predictable. Even less so in public.
Every week news reports come out with stories of people unpleasantly surprised by this realization.

Unfortunately, this type of story is what the general public comes to associate with all psychedelic use.
Because they never hear of the quiet, responsible traveler. Only the problem experiences. Where the police get involved.

Even using words like 'shrooms', 'acid', 'cid', 'dosing up', 'frying', etc,
delegitimizes the integrity of an old, very legitimate religious tradition.
Probably the oldest religious / spiritual tradition. From before the word 'religion' even existed.

So, if you hear me say something along those lines, please correct me, sometimes I forget.

We need to police ourselves here and in public, if at all possible, or certain loopholes will be closed.
I mention this not to tear you down, but because maybe someone will learn from it?
Maybe it doesn't even apply to you. In which case, my apologies.


The internet is rife with examples of irresponsible use.

We're in the same boat, except I don't even get OBE's at 15. I'm always envious when I see, or hear of, people having a blast on just 1-2 doses.

im a bit skeptical, im not sure how a half-hit could cause such a powerful experience, was it tested for lsd? maybe it could have been one of many other potent psychedelics that would fit on blotter... was the OBE pretty long or did you have other intense aspects of the trip ie visuals or thought processes, physical symptoms etc?

I took one paper hit this weekend and I had moments of spice-like CEVs that bled into open eye reality. This never happened before I took spice.

DMT has changed my experiences regarding mushrooms, acid and even MDMA (which has become much more visual)

My first spiritual experience with any substance was standing on the pavement outside my house after 1 tab of potent acid. These things certainly happen when you least expect them - which is why I never take it recreationally / socially any more.

OBE lasted 10 seconds, could have had more if I didn't fight it. No other psychedelic, pretty experienced with acid and what it is like. Gave me the good old metallic headache feel during the comedown. Whole peak was very intense, CEV were in my open eyes, was confronted with an all knowing god-like presence where I felt very enlightened and full of knowledge.

We seem to be in the same boat.

^ I've had thoughts like this Crusinialtheway. It's like a deep, ego smashing experience with DMT rewrites the wiring in your brain causing these experiences to happen more frequently (and, at least for me, at decreasingly smaller doses).

Hell, about a month ago I was smoking some good weed and had an intense moment of psychedelic euphoria, common right before I lift into hyperspace. I honestly felt like entities were peaking out from the corners of my eyes, almost as if to say 'yeah we're always this close... BOO!'
