Woah! thats crazy i have heard of this stuff happening where part of the brain compensates when another is severely impaired. seems like a really smart guy. i wonder if pychedelics played a role in his visions

from what i can tell he lived a drug-free life.
though those who don't do drugs rarely go out of their way to explicitly state they have never done drugs (excepting of course when sobriety is used as a marketing strategy)

There was this one time on acid when I smoked DMT and long story short, ended up ruining the DMT trip in a dumb way. In any case, in a matter of desperation in trying to "get back" to that same level I was at before screwing up the trip, I grabbed the GVG, quickly reloaded and took several hits. Well, I didn't end up getting back to cloud 9, but I did have quantum mechanics unfold before my open eyes. It quite literally looked like I was in the mind of Einstein with formulas flowing and arcs and trajectories bounding throughout the room. This information that I was witnessing also seemed to be tied to the physical state of the room. So if something in the room were to move/be moved the formulas and arcs would adjust themselves. It was like they were quite literally translating the physics of the world around me into this visual information. I sort of imagine that Jason may see the world in that kind of a way, and for that I admit a bit of jealousy.

Me jealous too ... but I wonder how it actually work in his mind - brain . They talk about new neuron connections made by brain and I think they may be right there. The same way when we smoke, our conciousness is altered and new neuron connections are made. But once the spice is out they break again. In his case they are there for ever.

Imagine that you would have to stay in your trip for ever ... no way you could survive that. He must have gone crazy first time he experienced it.
