Anyone read it or seen the movie? What do you think of its message?

Funny, I just downloaded the audio book of this today cause I was curious to see how it held up after all this time. I thought the book was good some 15 years ago when it came out, or at least the lessons within it were. Was not a big fan of the film, although I appreciate that someone did it. When it came out it caused a lot of people that had no previous interest in books of this sort to actually read it and like it, then to read similar ones, so it was good in that sense.
Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

All my posts are hypothetical and for educational/entertainment purposes, and are not an endorsement of said activities. SWIM (a fictional character based on other people) either obtained a license for said activity, did said activity where it is legal to do so, or as in most cases the activity is completely fictional.

I liked the book when I read it though the depiction of South America is entirely imaginary, and an important plot point features an archaeological impossibility. However, for me the best thing about the book was that it lead me to read Games People Play by Dr. Eric Berne. Berne's work on transactional analysis is what all that energy transfer stuff was based on.
