Hey everybody,

I'm looking for a botanical source of moderate to high amounts of tryptamine. That's correct, tryptamine without any substitution. I've heard some Acacia species contain high amounts of tryptamine, but do they also contain other substances? I want a botanical that only contains tryptamine, nothing else, even if it sounds funny. I'm gonna attempt to use it as a precursor for Phalaris growth, to maybe increase DMT and 5-MeO-DMT yield.

the probably best candidate of acacias would be A. cultriformis (reported Tryptamine, in the leaf, stem and seeds Phenethylamine in leaf and seeds)
..A. acuminata, floribunda and longifolia were found by White 1957 to contain tryptamine, but this turns out to be dmt...

..or try Acacia baileyana which in one test had predominantly tryptamine at one time of year, and ß-carbolines incl. THH at a different time [ see TIKHAL; Chemotaxonomie der Pflanzen By Robert Hegnauer]..it is grown as an ornamental internationally...

Perhaps a Prosopis sp. could be worth a look. A lot of them have yielded a bunch of different alkaloids, but P. alba leaf was one of the least complex according to one assay (or it could just be that it hasn't been looked at enough to turn up more stuff). Anyway, Graziano and colleagues found 0.73% tryptamine along with 0.43% tyramine and 0.7% phenethylamine. So, a bit of alkaloid separation would still be required. Having trouble coming up with any species that contain good levels of tryptamine and not much else...
